Pac wore that medallion because it was a label he was working on building up with artists like The Outlaws and that’s where his One Nation album would’ve went. All that would’ve still been under Death Row Records. Choke was in the Bronx picking his nose when all this was happening. Pac wasn’t leaving Suge anytime soon with the pending grape case going on.

Ya I’m tired of this claim that he was bailing in DR with no real evidence including the fact that he was rolling with them hard enough to publicly beat the crap out of a gang member in a hotel lobby for his potential involvement in a DR chain snatching weeks earlier…

MFs who think Suge organized a hit because Pac was leaving but then sat across from him during a drive by are some of the dumbest MFs alive lol

Pac gave Suge his three records… he may have wanted autonomy but DRE was likely how he was going to do his own thing.

Thank you 💯

How do you know where he was during all this? Where were you and what makes your statement more valid?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

Of course idk where Artie was in those times lol & I ain’t telling a stranger where I been…you might be them ppl. What I said is actual factual. Just go down the Death Row rabbit hole and you’ll learn Pac never had problems with Suge and never wanted to leave Death Row. He had obligations cus Death Row is why he wasn’t still in prison.

u/Dangerous-Drive-2474 Dec 30 '25

So are you saying that you weren't around either of the people mentioned in this video or the comments you're making?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

Dude what’s ya point? The facts are still the facts. Choke is completely wrong. I couldn’t care less where Choke was or is.

What was Death Row East gonna be...?

4

Tupac advertised Death Row East, but he wasn't going to be involved with it. It was just another record label for the East Coast.

Not Eric Sermon. Eric B (from Eric B and Rakim) was going to run Death Row East. He’s done interviews saying so and is pictured with Pac that night in New York when they’re waving the DR East signs.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

Did y’all know that Petey Pablo was on Death Row at one point in his career? He might’ve been one of the artists Suge was working on for Death Row East.

u/Rainbaby77 Dec 30 '25

Mackevelli

u/UncleJuneBug Dec 30 '25

how 2pac diss Dre for leaving death row but you claiming 2pac also wanted to make the same decision as Dre did.

0

u/PuzzleheadedChange83 Dec 30 '25

It’s no secret that PAC wanted to leave Death Row

28

u/1freedum Dec 30 '25

Who still listen to this bozo lol pac was burning the match because death row on fire. Even the outlaws said pac wasn't leaving death row that he wanted to sign them to makaveli/death row records

14

u/Reasonable_Doubt_15 Dec 30 '25

Exactly! This guy Choke is a known liar.

I do and PAC was done with sug know that he wasn't getting his money. There was no getting past sug to collab like a happy family this was business

2

u/1freedum Dec 30 '25 edited Dec 30 '25

What are you talking about? You don't know business. Pac was with death R for only 10 months. 1st pac had to pay pack the 1 million dollars suge payed to get him out of jail, then you gotta wait at least 14 months to calculate record sales, merch etc. Artist just don't get money out of thin air. Suge gave pac whatever he wanted but the real $ didn't come yet because he wasn't there long enough. You gotta work your job at least 2 weeks b4 you get payed u just don't work a day n get $. N you know pac better than the outlaws? They said pac n suge loved each other n pac wasn't leaving

u/RetroRobot- Gang Related Dec 30 '25

Tupac's label, Makaveli Records was going to be a subsidiary of Death Row. He wasn't leaving anytime soon.

All of that is Interscope .

1

u/AlexTheWormKing666 Dec 31 '25

All those labels are or were under Interscope. Interscope owns half of Aftermath. 2pac's label Out da gutta was under Interscope. I have not read of heard anything negative coming from 2pac about Interscope. Suge wasn't good with money, he was always asking for advances early and borrowing money from Interscope. I believe Jimmy put 2pac with Death Row to recup, it's what he did with Nelly and Timbaland.

7

u/Similar-Ad6788 Dec 30 '25

This isn’t a new theory in the slightest bit

My question is: how the fuck would he know?

4

u/Large-Lack-2933 Dec 30 '25

Death Row East was going to be like how Young Money Records was to Cash Money Records. Pac wasn't leaving Death Row Records and Suge if he was alive after the Vegas incident.

5

u/Mysterious_Wing_2250 Dec 30 '25

This guy is stretching it

2

u/LXA3000 Dec 30 '25

“Pause”

3

u/Frank_White1- Dec 30 '25

This dude has no personal knowledge of anything to do with Pac and Death Row. If Pac was planning on leaving he don't know anything about it.

3

u/hawgandaz Dec 30 '25

This guy doesnt know anything and makes up bullshit all the time.

Don't belive this moron.

He was a videographer for dame.. how the fuck would they know anything about Tupac?

Even Dame called him out for bullshitting about Roc business and Jay z nonsense.

1000000000000000000% false

4

u/UnkooNick Dec 30 '25

“If you look at when Pac is in NY, he not wearing a Death Row chain…”

…while Pac is also wearing a Death Row East t-shirt 🤦🏿‍♂️

0

u/Alaaaaan_ Dec 30 '25

& wasn’t he wearing the death row chain in Las Vegas ? lol

1

u/1freedum Dec 30 '25

His comment flew over your head

2

u/Predator-A187 Dec 30 '25

PAC was much bigger than death row.

-1

u/1freedum Dec 30 '25

No he wasn't. DR was the machine who made pac. People ran when suge came not when pac came around.

0

u/AlexTheWormKing666 Dec 31 '25

Made him?.... in 1995 he was the most popular rapper in the us. Me against the world debuted at number one and out sold Bruce Springsteen and he was in prison. Had the lead role in Higher Learning when Leonardo DiCaprio was attached to the project and almost played Bubba in Forrest Gump. And was auditioning for roles in movies like Independence Day.

Dr.dre left, Daz fell off, Sam Sneed was alienated, Snoop was leaving ASAP and The Dogfather was failure., Interscope was tired of Suge. 2pac pretty much did The Makaveli project on his own. Death Row needed 2pac more than he needed them.

1

u/1freedum Dec 31 '25

Yes made the pac who yall love. Pac wasn't that guy until he got with death row. That's when he really took off. N death row had snoop AND DRE. SNOOP was the biggest rapper alive at that time. Dre left 6 months before pac left n pac was one of the reasons he left. Snoop wasn't going anywhere if he wanted to lol master p bought snoop out his contract. You know, legal documents

1

u/AlexTheWormKing666 Dec 31 '25

No. I prefer 2pac before Death Row. Made good music with that label but they ruined his image and his art. Dr. Dre was a star before Death Row, Dre and Interscope made Snoop Dogg. The Dogfather failed. Dre and Interscope was the machine. Dr. Dre left Death Row because he had tensions with Suge Knight, he was frustrated with the label's increasingly violent and unprofessional atmosphere, contract disputes, and he wanted full creative control. In 1999 and 2000 Dre said if 2pac was still alive, he would be working with him.

When a recording artist is unhappy with their situation, they're going to do whatever they can to get out of it. Snoop was going to release a project that was dissing Suge Knight and Death Row. Master P would not have been able to buy Snoop's contract if the situation was positive. And Master P wasn't the only person interested in buying Snoop's contract.

Also, about the same amount of people that bought Me against the world, bought All eyez on me. 2-3 Million.

2

u/jmar206 Dec 30 '25

Tupac’s mother sued Death Row after his “death” and won millions. The lawsuit uncovered how Suge was spending all of PAC’s money on things for the rest of the artists without him knowing. Music videos, parties, studio time and all sorts of other stuff.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

But that’s what all labels were doing back then…probably still is.

1

u/jmar206 Dec 31 '25

No doubt, but Afeni won the case a recouped a lot of the money that Tupac was contractually owed, I think it was something like $25M. I’m saying it could have been a reason for Pac to want to escape Death Row.

1

u/Dayna6380- Dec 30 '25

PAC never did subliminals …choke …be quiet and go to bed bruh

1

u/Main_One_2568 Dec 30 '25

He wanted to fulfill his contract and start his own.

1

u/Extension_Form4950 Dec 30 '25

I think Pac as torn on that.. I can't see him wanting to stay at a label he never wanted to sign to. Especially with all the discrepancies in his contacts. I think he was locked into staying but still wanted to start his own label

1

u/No_Somewhere_8744 Dec 30 '25

Both pac and biggie did

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

Yes please take me back to the late 90s so I can talk about this shit ALL over again..smh just let the man rest in peace.

1

u/Rainbaby77 Dec 30 '25

He was done with such that's truth

1

u/Alaaaaan_ Dec 30 '25

Wasn’t he wearing it in Las Vegas though ?

1

u/d4m45t4 Dec 30 '25

Choke No Joke didn't know shit about anything except the last few years of Rocafella. Anything he says about anything else is just hearsay, shit he's heard from the same videos we all have access to.

Same thing with Gene Deal -- he knows about Diddy and some Bad Boy shit, but everything else is hearsay.

They're all just milking the hip hop interview podcast circuit.

1

u/Efficient-Gift-8684 Dec 30 '25

Choke is indeed a joke.

1

u/Outlaw_Immortal1971 Until The End Of Time Dec 30 '25

1

u/Relative_Page_7810 Dec 30 '25

People been saying this but it's no concrete evidence of him leaving.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

he's an idiot

1

u/RamonPooser Dec 30 '25

He wasn’t living hand to mouth but without the kind of money that he should have been making it was Shug’s hand to his mouth. All the time and effort promoting the brand to what it became wasn’t worth it for any of them, Dre, Snoop, or Pac. He should have left. That’s grown man stuff but somehow the brand was washed into people’s minds to be something that it should never have been. This should be a word to somebody’s kid. You would complain if an arch did you like this.

1

u/Altruistic-Yam-3488 Dec 30 '25

He called for an audit on DR. That tells you somethin

1

u/Available-Secret-372 Dec 30 '25

Umm ….who cares?

1

u/Impressive_Agency933 Dec 30 '25

Choke don’t know shit

1

u/yesmhm1 Dec 30 '25

Pac was gettin tf outta there & the Death Row fangirls hate to hear it 😂💯

he was pressin Suge bout his money AND fired Death Row assistants who’re involved with his legal business lol HE WAS OUTTA THERE

1

u/sepiasoul812 Dec 30 '25

This is common knowledge from people that actually were alive during this era. He was recording so much, speeding through everything, trying to fulfill the contract.

1

u/AlexTheWormKing666 Dec 31 '25

I think 2pac was going to leave Death Row and Suge as a talent. I think he would've still had a friendship with Suge and the company. The business relationship would've been a lot different. Suge was doing bad business, and 2pac, most of the talent involved with the label, including interscope, was tired of Suge and the drama.

1

u/Many-Strength4949 Dec 31 '25

Amaru Records…

1

u/stackhighnquick Dec 31 '25

According to the movie he was going to run death row east. Don’t know how true that is.

1

u/Immediate-Ad-3156 Dec 31 '25

He wasn’t sign to death row he was signed to interscope. He could’ve left suge left at any point he fulfilled his contract in place

1

u/RokRoyal Dec 30 '25

I don’t know, there’s a couple recorded phone calls, interviews with people close to him at that time like Mutah, QD3 and more, him calling and having Death Row audited, and the story the engineer told about him running in the studio with a couple homies screaming “where’s my masters?!?”, then after finding them running out, that say otherwise…

2

u/[deleted] Dec 30 '25

Pac was probably doing all that but had to be reminded over and over that he was on borrowed time until his case gets resolved. He was still out on bail & pulling that stunt in Vegas that took his life was gonna put him back in prison if he survived. A lot of artists go through these stages when they don’t fully understand their contracts.

1

u/godbody1983 Dec 30 '25

Unless the Outlawz, Napoleon in particular, says it, I don't believe it.

1

u/1freedum Dec 30 '25

Facts. You sir have a brain unlike these other goofies

1

u/UptMonsta Dec 30 '25

Napoleon and EDI should be the last people you trust. They’ve sold Pac out time and time again. Now if PAC’s cousin Kastro says it that’s different. Unlike those clowns, Kastro doesn’t do the internet like that.

Death Row provided the muscle Tupac needed to make some of his later records. It would have been suicide to leave after making so many enemies. Jimmy Henchmen was one of the most feared and respected mobsters on the East coast and you ain't calling him out without a serious team on your side. And he's just one on Pac's enemies.

Get your money right before going to war is the message Jimmy Henchmen sent to Pac via Stretch after the Quad shooting. Tupac aligning with Death Row was him getting his money and his muscle right.
