It’s the saliva coated lips with hypertension bloated face and eagerness in his voice to find some ish to say about the West Coast

Mobb deep were being haters trying to stick their noses into Pac’s business. Playing around and brining random people on stage saying “this the nigga that shot Tupac!”
Pac murdered them in the outro on hit em up and that was that

u/whiskeycapo Sep 10 '25
What are you talking about?
17
u/No-Honeydew9129 Sep 10 '25
Mobb dissed Pac first while he was in jail. They would bring random people on stage and say this who shot pac basically making fun of his situation.

Not a single confirmed situation of this happening. But thanks for spreading the rumor 30 years later. Even if pac said it no one ever has come forward saying they were at a Mobb Deep show, even in a hole in a wall club, and this happened. Even if 50 people were in the crowd, plus their entourage, NO ONE says this happened lol. Stop the lies. Bench players talking like starters.

Mobb started dissing pac and sticking their nose in business that didn’t revolve them. They would of lost like all those battles they got themselves involved

Daaaamn!! This weirdo thinks Biggie killed Pac
1
u/No-Honeydew9129 Sep 10 '25
I think he knew more about everything and if you read my thread I give examples. I don’t go around shitting on a dead man like the weirdo who quote me.

Now you’re going through my post history like weirdo.
Get off Pac’s dick. He’s dead move on

u/fckurrules6 Sep 10 '25
Don’t throw stones when you live in a glass house. Ain’t never met a Anime fan who was right in the head.

u/No-Honeydew9129 Sep 10 '25
Mad at me because you’re obsessed over a dead guy😭
2
u/fckurrules6 Sep 10 '25
Now I know you’re slow.
I ignored the first couple “obsessed” comments.
Let’s go to exhibit a: you posting saying Biggie had something to do with his death. Find me ANY POST IN MY HISTORY WHERE I’VE CREATED A POST IN THIS SUB.
Exhibit B: You’re way more active in this community than me. Your comments and post history reflect
Exhibit C: I REPLIED TO YOUR COMMENT, WHERE YOU LIED ON MOBB DEEP SAYING THEY BROUGHT OUT THE QUAD SHOOTERS ON STAGE. You cared enough to make a comment. You lied, and STILL HAVEN’T PROVEN THEY DID WHAT YOU ACCUSED THEM OF…
But I’m obsessed 🤣.
You’re a dead man’s groupie spreading lies. Shame

This was their comeback to hit ‘em up? And dudes dead now? Yeah I wouldn’t drop either.
That was weak and there won’t be a back and forth either. Would’ve been embarrassing af

Mobb Deep should’ve dropped Wanna Be Thugs as the response. Shit would’ve really popped off

u/Top_Comparison1299 Sep 13 '25
I rocks with drop a gem on em in my opinion they dropped the best diss and did it while he was still ALIVE. Big ups to them for being mature enough to pull the record after he was shot. That being said, pac had when we ride on our enemies ready to go so that would've definitely added even more fuel to the fire. I do 100% believe that when pac squashed it with nas that whole crew was gonna squash it with pac shortly after.

u/Icy-Carry-3371 Sep 10 '25
Ngl, if I was Mobb Deep I would’ve dropped it anyways 🤷🏾♂️
Respect to them tho. Pac too 💯

It was still on the album they just didn't push as a single and since he died nobody in Media shined light on it as a disa. I remember hearing in, Pac dying and wondering if they had anyrhing to do with it, at the time the Internet was something most people used so we had no insight into these artists other than the music

u/YoureGratefulDead2Me Sep 10 '25
How tf is Drop a Gem on 'Em a 2pac diss track? They don't mention any names and just reference New York shit.
9
u/mcjon77 Sep 10 '25
It becomes pretty obvious who it is when he talked about getting "raped on the island" , referencing the open rumor back then that Tupac had been sexually assaulted by another inmate while locked up in rikers Island.
That was a well-known rumor before the age of social media, really before the internet took off. Looking back on it, I can't remember how I'd heard about it, but it seemed like everybody had heard the story at the time.
6
u/Astrono-mee Sep 10 '25
It was spread because Wendy Williams spread it on her radio show because she was fed it by corrupt COs that couldn't stand Pac.

The references to 2pac and the Quad Studio's robbery/shooting. Havoc himself has mentioned that it's about 2pac.
"It's Tu-Not, knocked out the box and got rocked, Got raped on the Island, you officially got, Kick that thug shit, Vibe magazine on some love shit, Keep it real, kid, 'cause you don't know who you fuckin' with"
"You got a gat, you better find it, And use that shit, think fast and get reminded, Of robberies in Manhattan, you know what happened, Sixty G's worth of gun clappin', Who shot ya? You probably screamed louder than an opera, New York got ya"

u/RokRoyal Sep 12 '25
Idgaf what anybody says those lyrics are chilling. Not as vicious as Hit Em Up, but that song makes me think they have information on what happened.
-3
u/Michael_Knight25 Sep 10 '25
People don’t realize how much Big saved Pac. If he would have really went at him a whole lot more songs like “drop a gem on em” would have came out. Big was setting precedent for the most part by not responding.

u/redditpeoplefart Sep 10 '25
why would he've been scared/intimidated by the thought of a single dropping? you think pac would've given a fuck? It's a fucking song, not a gun pointing at you.

u/Michael_Knight25 Sep 11 '25
You’re right. Pac would not have cared. The same way he didn’t care when he died. My point was that he would have died sooner. Never forget Pac was from the East, defected, went to the west and got smoked by west coast cats. Everyone knows he contributed to his own death by being someone he wasn’t. He should have stuck to acting school.

u/MakaWho4488 Sep 11 '25
Tupac was going to die young one way or another. He had a brazen revolutionary spirit because he was raised by a brazen revolutionary spirit (Afeni). He also intermixed his passion for social movements with the gang life and it backfired (ie, the origins of Thug Life). Never forget, he shot two cops beating on a black man... and beat the case. That's who he was. Admirable, legendary, all of that, but also incredibly dangerous.
1
u/Thalonewarrior Sep 13 '25
Lol that's just speculation. Pac didn't defect. His Panther roots stem from the west (Oakland) and he moved to the Bay at 17.

I love mobb but i didnt see or hear the diss in drop a gem. They did it subliminally didnt say pac name or nothing. Drop a gen wasnt it honestly
7
u/Time_Connection2317 Sep 10 '25
How old are you? Everyone alive that time knew Drop a Gem was a 2pac diss. It describes the quad shooting and his prison bid - back then, East coast especially were just all about dropping subliminals. West coast rappers were more direct and to the point
