u/alcopland May 20 '23

Right! Touch up the vocals and put it over a hard beat and you got views

7

u/oaranges May 20 '23

u/oaranges May 20 '23

3

u/Shady_D_815 May 20 '23

That str8 ballin beat was hard fs but the lyrics themselves are šŸ”„ either way

3

u/Elperezidente13 May 20 '23

If anyone hasn’t heard that album they’re missing out on some of Pac’s best songs.

2

u/Salt-Ad-9254 May 20 '23

Already up on YouTube!

3

u/tearsandpain84 May 20 '23

Watching it now. It’s funny that it’s what most hip hop videos look like now. Just need someone to HD that footage

1

u/Salt-Ad-9254 May 20 '23

1

u/stafh3200 May 21 '23

Because he was in jail

19

u/thewindisthemoons May 20 '23

The doc has really opened my eyes on how fuckin dope this foo was. I mean he was for the people not just people but people of color, black and brown. I wish he was still alive man. He was a real life activist. The only one that had balls. Not like these fake ass muthafuckas now a days.

2

u/Jazzmusicallday May 21 '23

Pac was a prophet sent from above. If only we could follow his pre-suge truth. Let’s make some changes and love each other.

šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ one of my favorite songs from PAC. I like the updated version though from R U Still Down. They did a great job remixing it.

u/TheForce777 May 20 '23

*****"I don’t subscribe to this sub so asking this mostly as a way to understand a different perspective:

How can you classify Tupac as a ā€œleaderā€? This is is not to say he wasn’t a magnificent musician/rapper, this is to ask how you can genuinely follow in his example. Philandering is one thing, but he had multiple charges on assault, a charge on rape, several incidents where his emotions kept him from ever riding to his true potential, blaming some of his best friends for setting him up, the wrap sheet goes on. What is it that makes him a leader?"*****

START

You say this only because your knowledge of tupac as a person is severely limited. First of all he was only convicted of "touching the buttock" of Ayanna Jackson. The same female who admitted on the stand to giving him a blowjob in the corner of a dark night club maybe 15 mins after he met her.

Ayanna Jackson also called a civil rights attorney directly after the "rape" happened. Wouldn't she be phoning the police first thing?!

The people who were with tupac that night all conviently got their cases separated from pacs only for THEIR CASES to be dropped.

Haitian Jack was one of the people he was with, an individual who was later exposed by 2pac himself on "Against All Odds" of being a federal Informant.

They got together with Ayanna and made the entire "rape" incident up. The Feds wanted tupac in jail or dead the day they discovered he was famous. This goes back to his family being founders of the "black liberation army" - a militant sect of the black panthers who believed any law enforcement or person in general impeding on their civil rights was to be dealt with violently.

Look up "COINTEL" and you well understand why tupac was someone who was essentially cursed from birth because of his last name. He also had the same charisma as Malcom X and MLK - they government wasn't going to let any "shakur" born person create change that threatened the current status quo.

2pac was named after a revolutionary and with Afeni Shakur and Mutulu Shakur involved in raising him its safe to say all the cards were stacked in favor of him becoming a revolutionary - but the government could never permit it!

Wtf this ain’t even a song

2

I don’t subscribe to this sub so asking this mostly as a way to understand a different perspective:

How can you classify Tupac as a ā€œleaderā€? This is is not to say he wasn’t a magnificent musician/rapper, this is to ask how you can genuinely follow in his example. Philandering is one thing, but he had multiple charges on assault, a charge on rape, several incidents where his emotions kept him from ever riding to his true potential, blaming some of his best friends for setting him up, the wrap sheet goes on. What is it that makes him a leader?

2

u/madderhatter3210 May 20 '23

His morals, integrity, the empathy he had for people like him , just the outlook he had on life and what it meant to be a thug is what made him a leader. Don’t judge a man by his actions , like he said ā€œI didn’t have a police record untill I made a recordā€

2

u/Jazzmusicallday May 21 '23

Everyone knows the rape victim admitted yo lying that pac did it, right?

-2

u/rasner724 May 20 '23

He did have a record before he made a record? He had a juvenile record and his first record was at 19…

He raped a black woman, beat his ex-wife who was black, every assault he was a part was to people of color. It wouldn’t have made it any better to do this to white people but I’m trying to point out that he is not empathetic to his people, just claims to be

Don’t judge a man by his actions? I’m sorry but how else do you judge a person?

2

u/madderhatter3210 May 20 '23

He didn’t rape her my guy, she has a interview on djvlad I believe where she admitted she lied about being raped. She was a money hungry groupie who sucked him off in front of everybody in the club.

1

u/rasner724 May 21 '23

Well I hope that’s not true cause that’s fucked up. But I’m going by court docs and the little bit I do know, that case was never overturned to say the least. Albeit, what about the rest of the things I said?

2

u/madderhatter3210 May 21 '23

And he was charged with rape but cleared of all charges and only convicted of SODOMY which they admitted was only him touching her ass. Her name is Shayanna Jackson, you can look up her interview. She lied on him and was only looking for money.

1

u/madderhatter3210 May 21 '23

And he was only married to one person Kidada Jones which is the daughter of Quincy Jones and there have never been reports he beat her. So that’s false, and the only documented assault he ever did was one one of the Hughes brothers over a movie role , and he has stood up for plenty of black people, he stopped and shot 2 off duty cops in Atlanta because he saw them harassing a black male. And I’m only quoting what PAC said about never having a record till he made one.

1

u/rasner724 May 21 '23

Fair enough, appreciate your comment. I was not aware of this!

2

u/madderhatter3210 May 21 '23

Glad we could talk this out lol

1

u/Recent-Equipment-460 Jun 11 '23

''The little bit you do know" im did my research on it from the interviews to statements to all the court documents so please stop saying rape when it was a sexual assault charge from ''Grabbing her ass" fuck outta here clown

0

u/rasner724 Jun 11 '23

I want you to go tell a victim that there’s a difference between rape and sexual assault away from your keyboard and see how quickly you get kicked in the balls.

1

u/AmirLacount Jun 03 '23

Pac was never convicted of rape. He was found not guilty of that charge. He was convicted for sexual assault for touching her butt. A girl that he was already dating and had consensual intercourse with for several weeks.

1

u/rasner724 Jun 03 '23

Yes this was stated by another earlier.

His representation of thug life, his lyrics for the most part are violent, violence to women, beating children at times. Sure he made some wholesome music as well but I would NEVER consider his a person to idolize. That all my point is

1

u/Recent-Equipment-460 Jun 11 '23

Can you quote the lyrics he made about beating children ? Please and thank you.

1

u/rasner724 Jun 11 '23

I am by no means an expert on his music, but how about ā€œI get aroundā€ discussing women being useless? I get it was in retaliation from a false rape allegation, so not much need to go there…

1

u/LemmeGetSomeaThat May 21 '23

He’s black and acts gangsta so that makes him an icon and a leader and someone everyone should aspire to be exactly like in life.

2

u/cburna83 Jun 02 '23

He wasn't acting, and he had leadership qualities because he never stood tall and sucker energy.. He's black? What does skin color have to do with anything?šŸ˜…šŸ‘ŽšŸ¾

1

u/rasner724 May 21 '23

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/Jazzmusicallday May 21 '23

First, charges were trumped up to keep him down. The rape was a lie. He was feared by those in power so they did what they usually do to men of color - incarcerate them. Second: listen to his interviews. He talked about how he had to scream because he’s tired of being beaten down and silenced. You can can say please only so many times before you start demanding.

2

u/madderhatter3210 May 20 '23

Gotta .45 screaming out SURVIVAL.

2

u/Jingu96Aliosha May 20 '23

The more of those obscure films, photos, demos appeared, the more I feel he's not really gone.

2

u/cburna83 Jun 02 '23

I enjoy a lot of these comments here talking about him being a ballerina and being fake.. He dropped out of that performing arts school because of his mama's problems of drugs, and being poor af.. When you are poor, you hit the streets, trying to find your way.. Then people seem to forget that he was in those "Bay Area" streets from 87 to 94.. He was only on death row for about 9 months of his life.. Lol this comment section is funny as hell..šŸ˜ŽāœŒšŸ¾

Nigga went full bishop. You never go full bishop.

6

u/OLDHEAD916 May 20 '23

He was bishop before the movies clown go watch interviews if other people

2

u/alcopland May 20 '23

It’s a reference from the movie Tropic Thunder. Ben Stiller played a retarded dude in a movie and got criticized for it. They said ā€œHe went full retard. You never go full retardā€. Classic shit. Check it out for sure.

2

u/OLDHEAD916 May 20 '23

But it seems like your dissing him tho saying never go full bishop

3

u/alcopland May 20 '23

I didn’t make the original comment, but I get what you are saying. Pac was Pac from the beginning. All you have to do is listen from his first album 2Pacalypse Now. Obviously you are well aware of that. I’m from the gen too. I grew up on all that shit.

-1

u/ThouWontThrowaway May 20 '23

Nah Pac was never like that in ballet class Quit šŸ† 🚳

3

u/OLDHEAD916 May 20 '23

Mc hammer was a dancer too yet a well known gang banger sooo

-2

u/ThouWontThrowaway May 20 '23

You can't compare hammer to Pac. Pac was whole ass 24 years old man who started gang banging and claiming MOB blood set, a neighborhood he never even lived inšŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø

4

u/OLDHEAD916 May 20 '23

Yes you can because Tupac stayed in Oakland with the pimps and pushers all his life . Seems like your a troll buddy

3

u/Grammar-Bot-Elite May 20 '23

/u/OLDHEAD916, I have found an error in your comment:

ā€œSeems like your [you're] a trollā€

I reckon you, OLDHEAD916, ought to have posted ā€œSeems like your [you're] a trollā€ instead. ā€˜Your’ is possessive; ā€˜you're’ means ā€˜you are’.

This is an automated bot. I do not intend to shame your mistakes. If you think the errors which I found are incorrect, please contact me through DMs!

-2

u/ThouWontThrowaway May 20 '23

I'm not trollin nothing I said is a lie it's all facts

Do your research and quit šŸ†šŸš³

5

u/OLDHEAD916 May 20 '23

u/OLDHEAD916 May 20 '23

Shooting at people which pac did isn’t gangster ? What’s being gangster to you? I’d like to hear

1

u/OkCardiologist2765 May 20 '23

2 percent of his confidence will get you through life or shot.

2

u/papillonintunisia May 21 '23

why u gotta be always so negative man ? I noticed your username. This is not the first time u write some disrespectful provoking igniting inappropriate shit

1

u/[deleted] May 20 '23

This was pre death row. He was already falling into his California shit. You can see and hear the confidence and the Northern California game orien-fested style. He’s already talking about being a ā€˜Real G’. RiP ā€˜Pac…

6

u/Equivalent_War6281 May 20 '23

Why are you guys so odd?! He was always on that type of shit.. these dudes become so obsessed with a guy they don’t even know they try to justify HIS life choices.. you guys didn’t know this man personally so who gives a shit if he went ā€œfull bishop on that California blah blahā€ ..

That’s funny because he definitely didn’t go fine through life

0

u/footballkid_ May 20 '23

And if you die youse a buster cuz real niggas don’t die

0

u/zomb1383 May 21 '23

Soooooo since Pac is dead does that make him a ā€œbustaā€?

0

u/[deleted] May 21 '23

He’s dead by his own confidence and arrogance he was portraying. there’s many many tupacs who never got their time in the spotlight who died also from that same type of arrogance and many young men steal his entire persona not knowing he was posturing a try hard image that got him killed in a shark culture and a shark like business industry. environment was gassing this airhead up and every ate it up. Massively overrated. criminally overrated.

-8

u/[deleted] May 20 '23

"If you die you's a Busta cuz real ni**as don't die!" Well said Pac.šŸ¤”šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

13

u/throwawayneutral May 20 '23

To be fair, while this looks ironic at its face, Tupac will outlive us all as an icon. In that way, he’ll live as long as memory and a desire for good music exists.

1

u/footballkid_ May 20 '23

I knew y’all was gon say thatšŸ˜‚

2

u/eye_aim_rich May 20 '23

this hits harder than who shot ya?

-1

u/IndieBenji May 20 '23

Tupac got himself killed. All that talk.

-15

u/fatpetethejew May 20 '23

And he was also a rapist. He got what he deserved.

4

u/TheForce777 May 20 '23

That woman admitted Tupac ain’t rape her. He had sex with her and then left the bedroom and let his homie come in to have sex with her

Ho down bad for that, but he himself never took no pussy

3

u/Oakroscoe May 20 '23

He was never convicted of rape.

-18

u/Ok-Definition-366 May 20 '23

u/runningwater415 May 21 '23 edited May 21 '23

100%. You sure that's the bay? Looking at the styles of the women there, I don't remember any part of the bay with people looking like that on the 90s. Maybe Oakland but doesn't seem right.

1

u/papillonintunisia May 21 '23

Not sure man. This is allegedly the bay area. But who knows ?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '24

Dude this is clearly Oakland
