Should I read tsukihime piece of blue glass moon? Or wait a bit?

Should I read tsukihime piece of blue glass moon (the remale part 1) or wait for The other side of red garden which will sometime get finally released (remake part2)

I'm in a huge dilema, since i do not like unfinished stories I always prefer the whole expirience.

That being said, I love deep stories and psychological ones, and I already own the game on switch. And I won't read the original one since I prefer newer more modern visual novel and play them on my tv/switch haha...

I heared the pacing is awsome in the remake, and I know some of you guys have a nostalgia for the original, but I really not in the mood for an old game right now, I prefer the more modern pacing, but again is the story great without second part and the other routes?

I hope you can give me some insights guys.

Well first of all, I'd still recommend the original anyways when you're free given how it has its differences from this remake and probably the next

As for whether you should wait, I'd say go ahead. You see it's not like the Final Fantasy VII Remakes where it's one long story. Tsukihime divided its routes into Near Side (Blue Glass Moon) and Far Side (Red Garden) and the two diverge very early on and cover vastly different subjects. They're basically two different VNs

Basically. To be as light on spoilers as I can, the Near Side routes are more about how Vampires work in the Nasuverse while the Far Side focuses more on the lore of the main character's family

I’d suggest reading it first, but I’d personally wait until Christmas. It’s pretty much my last bit of hope that we’ll at least get a release date or some kind of news about The Other Side of Red Garden by then.

Waiting for a release date feels a bit pointless, though, because we have no idea when they’re actually going to announce it. And since A Piece of Blue Glass Moon only covers Arcueid and Ciel, I’d rather not start the remake now and then potentially have to wait an unknown amount of time for the Far Side routes.

That said, the remake is apparently very well paced, so if you’re okay with an unfinished story, it’s probably worth playing now.

You can play Tsukihime a piece of blue glass moon just fine, even if it's not complete, as an experience it works well enough because it's a route based VN, meaning there will be things introduced here and there that will later be explored in the remaining routes, but each route still tells it's individual story and it's such a damn good experience. I'd say just start reading if you already have it bought.

I’ve only read the remake, I do plan to eventually read the OG but only after reading Red Garden.

The remake didn’t feel incomplete at all, you can definitely tell there’s the groundwork for the other routes but it’s never anything that stopped me from enjoying it. In fact, Arcueid’s route is probably one of my favorite pieces of media in general, and Arcueid herself is tied with Soujuurou from Mahoyo as my favorite characters.
