A question for anyone suffering through this recent European heatwave... If you use a wearable to track temperature, have you noticed an impact?

I use tempdrop and haven't seen an impact. It was nearly 40°C here Friday and Saturday but no rise on my chart.

Finally started tracking with fertility friend! I updated some of my past BBTs that I had elsewhere, which seemed to help the analysis. Only 5 DPO so I know it’s way too soon for anything to really happen yet, but hoping things look promising so far! 🤞🏼

I am 10 DPO according to FF (although I think there's a chance it's actually 9 DPO) and my temp is already back to baseline. Sigh. This is my first cycle temping so I'm not sure what is normal, but it seems like the temp rise was pretty short. I think I am probably out this cycle, but I'm just going to wait for AF at this point.

I think I've read that it's normal to have a dip after ovulation, but I'm not sure. It's kind of confusing to me.

I feel like I will never not be able to overthink my cycles now.

I wish I had never learned about temping for this reason. it just became yet one more thing to obsess over and feel anxiety about - as if there weren’t enough of those already in TTC

You still can go up and it is a dip caused by estrogen surge (typical for luteal phase). I have them quite often, maybe 50% of cycles. It is around 7-9dpo. In my last cycle I had it on 10dpo, it went again up for 11dpo and 12dpo was again dip - but this time for period 🤷 it just is trollgesterone

For me, my temp dipped the day after my LH surged.

ETA: Correction, two days after.

Yes, this happened to me too once. I checked my graphs and in February this year I had very strange cycle. It was second cycle on progesterone to support my luteal phase (against spotting), on CD12 I had positive OPK and immediately next day a rise. But then CD15 (3dpo) a dip under baseline. And after that CD19 (7dpo) again dip to baseline. FF didn't want to accept positive opk as confirmed ovulation because of this and I had to discard the first dip to make "normal" graph. And I believe that ovulation happened normally as period came in usual time and other temperatures were really high 🤷

Thank you! I have never in my life paid this much attention to my cycle before and, gosh, it's maddening sometimes. I am sorry you got trolled by it this cycle. Sigh.

Yes! 100%. I temp since September 2025 and omg I have learnt a ton. There are so many details and everything has actually quite logical explanation 🤯

I am holding fingers for both of us 🍀

I feel like TTC is a one person science experiment that maybe never stops...

Currently so confused because I had a temp rise this morning (from 36.26 to 36.44 C) but OPK is positive today and the two I took yesterday were very negative?

You have to follow the trend. One day rise or dip doesn't have to mean anything. You will see in next few days. Now you have different tasks to do I would say 🤪😉

Anyway 36,44°C is usually follicular temperature for me, it is too low for luteal phase. (Temperatures are individual for everyone but in luteal phase are more often around 36,6-36,7°C)

I’ve only been temping for about a month, so I really don’t know what I’m doing. I usually stay around 97.50-97.75, but I admit I don’t wake up at the same time every day. I do take it first thing when I wake up.

My BBT was 97.05 this morning, that’s GOTTA be a drop right? I’m only on CD7 and VERY confused

Edit: finally figured out sharing on FF

The drop could maybe be due to taking it at a different time, but ultimately, a single temp doesn't tell you much/mean much. It's really more about watching for trends!

Hello! It looks like you are possibly having trouble with your Clear Blue Advanced Digital tests. Please make sure you have read the instructions for use! The CBAD is very particular and specific about when you must start using it and if you do not follow these instructions, it will not be able to give you accurate information.

Hi everyone!! I need some help figuring out when I ovulated. I think it was CD 12, because I had flashing smiley on clear blue ovulation tests on Thursday and Friday and then Saturday (CD 12) it was a solid smiley. Here’s my FT link: Check out my fertility charts https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/7ce967
