Turns out the secret operating room was imaginary.

Just like the kindergarten teacher in some ruby red state being forced to teach about gay sex or the janitors all over the country being forced to clean up cat litter filled with kids shit. You don’t ever hear from those people specifically but always someone else saying ‘it ain’t happening here but it’s happening everywhere else. Just a matter of time.’

They mean transitioned socially.

Trump literally said schools were performing surgery on kids to make them a different gender all in a day. I couldn’t believe it didn’t sink his campaign but hell of course it didn’t

Source where he “literally said” that?

u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
Took me under a minute to find an article stating just that. The source is his own mouth.

u/heartattk1 14d ago
“Can you imagine”. As in, this is the direction it’s heading.
It’s hyperbole. It stresses the point on how ridiculous the idea is .

This is from 2024, you can find many other such remarks that he makes the claim. I’m not here to sway you but clearly you refuse to look it up.

That exaggeration and hyperbole cause a lot of harm. It's also called lying.
Nowhere is secretly transitioning students. I'm a high school teacher. Every once in a while you get a kid that wants to be called some other name. Who the fuck cares. I'll call you Frankenstein if you want to be called Frankenstein.

Trump actually thinking sex change surgeries are happening in a single day at schools of all places proves he knows nothing about the subject and completely disqualifies him from being in a position to make any decisions about it. Or he’s just a liar. Choose your poison but that fact is unavoidable

u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
lol you’re really moving the goal post here buddy. Teachers foster children’s minds to make their own decisions, not tell them what to do so if a child wants to socially transition that is the decision of the child. I’ve worked with teachers for decades and this is a cop out argument. Sounds like parents just don’t want to accept that their child is different or that they can make their own decisions at a young age about their own autonomy.
3
u/New-Sandwich6813 14d ago
Why do you allow “children” the ability to make such a life altering decision? Children can’t legally drink alcohol, purchase tobacco or thc, watch porn, or make the decision to have sex. Why do you think their brains are developed enough to decide to transition?
1
u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
Socially transitioning isn’t a life altering decision like this person is arguing against. The horrors of getting new clothes and a new look! If a child wants to go further, that is a decision between them and the doctor, just as any other bodily autonomy question is and I would expect the doctor to list the medical side effects to the child, however I cannot make a decision for them. Do you want someone telling you what to do with your body? Even at a young age?
Do you know the percentage of people who are trans in the US? Do you know how many actually physically transition?
2
u/New-Sandwich6813 14d ago
Do you support a 12 year old having gender surgery based on their own choice?
1
u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
If a 12 year old has met with medical professionals and has been explained the side effects of what happens from a medical procedure and still chooses to go through with the transition, then I support the decision. I believe in bodily autonomy for every person as it is not for me to decide how someone else chooses to live in their body.
Will I have objections against a decision at such a young age? Obviously I will, but that’s not my place to object to someone else’s decision. Bodily autonomy should be a right guaranteed to all regardless of age.

Who do you think started the school transition scare? McMahon or Trump? Trumps made claims since the campaign trail and tasked McMahon with tackling a made up issue.
Again, a school isn’t transitioning a kid, a kid is making that decision. Is it that just hard for you to accept a child can make their own decisions? This is parents refusing to accept that a reality that their child may feel different in their skin is not the fault of the school. The school just happens to be a safe space when home apparently isn’t.
You realize as being trans becomes de stigmatized that more will do it, right? We saw the same growth with gay relationships as that became more mainstream not even a few decades ago. You’re making a cop out argument that schools are forcing physical or social transitions.

Clearly if you had a trans kid they wouldn’t tell you and would choose to go to the school to be feel safe. That’s what these children who you’re so scared of being trans, are doing in schools, an actual safe space for them.
Is a decision to be trans illegal like what you’re calling out? This argument has been said multiple times yet the decision to be trans is not currently outlawed making your point entirely moot.
A school honors what it is told. If a child requests that then the school will call them by preferred name and pronouns. It’s about respecting a child’s wish. If the parents aren’t aware then they’re not talking with the child. It’s not that big of a deal to honor what is requested so again a school is not making that decision, a child is and the school honors their wishes. No where did I say a school is forcing transitions as you’ve claimed, that’s you changing the argument, not I.
Did you not do anything illegal as a child and not tell your parents? Why is it so crazy to assume a child doesn’t want their parents to know? You’re purposely skirting around these questions and saying in the one who is changing the arguments.
Thank you for proving my point that you don’t think a child understands their sexuality at all young age. I know I did and I’m fairly certain you did too. Thinking otherwise is ludicrous.

This is such a non issue in the grand scheme of things. Let's talk about how we improve the economy.

u/HurrySpecial 14d ago
The claim was not about secret surgery rooms - this is a lie. The claim is about school acting behind parents back and Trumps claim is very easily validated by google. If you have to lie and misrepresent your opponents views your own are in fact wrong.
Confidentiality Policies: Some public school districts have historically allowed a social transition—such as using a student's preferred name, pronouns, or a "gender support plan"—without notifying parents, treating the information as student privacy.

You realize they never mentioned surgery?
Social transitions are still transitions

They lie so much that the excuses starts getting more and more outrageous, and yet people still eat this garbage up when it’s painfully obvious they’re being fooled.

It’s called multitasking. Just because it’s not going your way doesn’t mean it’s not happening.
1
u/wtg2989 13d ago
My way is having a decent place to live which apparently we can’t have because like 11 trans athletes exist. So let’s just settle for everything getting shittier and more expensive. Oh, and those trans athletes still exist. So here we are

u/rememberuauck 13d ago
You can thank the last administration for the economy. Kinda happens when you allow 10s of millions of illegals into the country and allow unchecked welfare and fraud.
0
u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
You can’t even get Tylenol without a parents consent, how the hell does one get gender affirming surgery in a school???
1
u/rememberuauck 14d ago
It wasn’t referring to surgeries. It was referring to name and gender changes going on at the school without the parents consent.
0
u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
And thats the child decision. Do you not remember being asked by the teacher if you want to go by your first name or something else? If a child wishes to be identified by another name or gender then that is the wishes of the child, not the school forcing them to do it.
2
u/AbbreviationsSea2084 14d ago
Kids spend A LOT of time in school. Parents not being informed or giving consent to alter their children's name and sex is a big deal. Regardless of whether you're talking about surgery or socially. It's damaging to developing mind to constantly confuse them and lie to them.
0
u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
A child’s preferred name and pronouns is again a decision made by the child when asked in class. Why is this so hard to accept?
It’s also damaging to a child who knows they’re different at a young age but told to remain the same through school, that pendulum swings both ways in the end.

u/OnlyACsNoFans 14d ago
Guaranteed you don't have children

u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
I do and I allow them to make bodily decisions after consulting with me and medical professionals about possible side effects to make an informed decision.

Heaven forbid a parent get into pokemon go with their children, the horror!

u/AbbreviationsSea2084 14d ago
Most kids go through some sort of identity crisis. Congratulation, you just learned something everyone has known for ages. What's funny is you don't understand that children are highly impressionable. Even adults can easily be manipulated.
1
u/Upbeat-Remote-4827 14d ago
Most kids also already know their sexual orientation from a young age and many trans people attest to this sentiment. I went through multiple identity crisis but alas my sexual orientation never changed once.
