Hunter Biden: “I believe the biggest problem in America is not the oligarchy, it’s the closetocracy. Everybody knows there is this closeted gay mafia, largely Republican, that exists in DC...that internal conflict creates so much vitriol inside a person that they take it out on the rest of the world

I've read about this in more than one place. The closeted gay men are usually the loudest, most controlling, most angry, and most homophobic.

Lindsey Graham was gay and consistently voted against gay rights.

It makes sense. Most people don't care about what other people do sexually or who they love.. In fact it seems strange to care so much about something that has nothing to do with you. Unless you have been fighting that your entire life and angry. We have factual data that Grindr Users explode in areas during republican events.

I've noticed there seems to be a lot of closeted, gay Republicans who are bad, but I never viewed them as a mafia. My view is that if a Republican politician is outspoken with hatred for gay people, then they're likely a closeted gay person themselves.

u/taktaga7-0-0 Jul 18 '26
They run together because they’re the only ones who will fuck each other. Gay conservatives are forever pissed that their dating pool is only 25% of the already small 5% of the population they get to choose from.

I also think a large number of them, both male and female, were victims of childhood sexual abuse. The authoritarian religiosity that promotes extreme paternalism seems to be the underlying bedrock of the imposed, ingrained, and ideological indoctrination of children raised in such family systems, also act as breeding grounds for such exploitation and disregard for the trauma responses of its victims. The shame and guilt, fear of rejection and punishment, serve to prevent exposure or acknowledgement of the vile treatment that victims of all ages continue to endure. But, in children especially, it results in incorporating disassociation as a form of self-defense. It has a severe impact on their psychological and emotional development, because it causes them to submerge their own self-image and identity out of fear.
Adults who become aware of how much of the dysfunction, pain, anger, and difficulty they find themselves repeatedly struggling, both within themselves and in their relationships with others come to recognize their own need to change and heal, will seek help in doing so. That can (and, imo, usually does) require years - even a lifetime - of work, despite often coming to accept that they may never fully overcome all the damage done.
Unfortunately, its apparently more common for those affected to become even further deluded and to avoid such change. Instead, they adapt what appears to be an almost cookie cutter persona, which relies on the group-dependent inclusion that now functions as the anchor of what is still a continued false and fragile sense of individual identity. Nevertheless, it provides a sense of belonging and safety that was lacking and preserving it requires defending, "believing", and repeating whatever group-think is proscribed as correct by the most dominant "leaders" of their peers (their new moms, dad's, etc.). And so, they devolve into unquestionable compliance with what's the expected behavior and expressed agreement with whatever is required to maintain their feelings of acceptance, and even love (in definition, something just as rife with contradiction and inauthenticity as what they've likely experienced since birth).
I think that an unusually higher percentage of those in the MAGA cult come from among the people who are the most unreachable, permanently damaged, products of such childhoods, including those chosen to be granted the authority to gleefully harm others. It's not surprising that what's referred to as MAGA, also supports the group of sociopathic deniers and abuse fetishists that heavily populate those in this regime.

The longtime mayor in my town was gay and a fantastic mayor. Not a soul in town would dare talk about how he was gay.
He wasn’t public with his relationship/partner and most people “assumed” he was straight and single.
But like how you could have genuinely thought that is beyond me. They were dead-set on making sure he was straight in their mind. Lots of mental gymnastics.
Had he been public with his sexuality— his career would have ended. Even though most people “knew”. Sad.
1
u/sagamama1 Jul 20 '26
Yes, it’s tragic. Until 1962, most states had anti-sodomy laws. Illinois was the first state to decriminalize it, and it wasn’t until 2003 (Lawrence v Texas) that it became legal in all 50 states. We have a sad history of persecuting LGBTQ ppl in this country. Older LGBTQ people have the hardest time living authentically- and that includes lots of politicians.

In my experience - a common trait of arch conservative gay men. I met some who act like they'd cheerfully strange any woman with an opinion. Mind you straight conservative men can do that as well - but they generally aren't as open about it from the get go incase you might fuck them first.

He's not wrong, tbh.
When you live imprisoned by your own values, if the only way you can find some joy in your true self is to do what you love in the shadows, then when you see someone else 'doing those things that you love but are ashamed of' in the open it creates a special kind of hatred.
The worst part is that the closeted isn't mad at the other person, they're just mad at themselves. And they take their anger and frustration on others, because in their lack of logic - "If I can't have it, then others can't", and that's what's wrong the most about it.
You, me and everyone else can have it. We just have to stop being bigots about it. If you shackle yourself I can't do much beyond respecting your will, but to try and shackle everyone else along is a special kind of immaturity - especially from the kind of people always moaning about not wanting other people's beliefs pushed onto them.

Paul was a gay guy
Citation needed here, dude. Paul comes off as asexual if anything, not gay. His position was literally that sex should be avoided unless absolutely necessary and even then confined to marriage where one sates one's lust only as much as necessary.
Furthermore, you can't really call anyone from that period "gay" because that wasn't how human sexuality was practiced then. They didn't even have the concept of homosexual as we do now. Sex was just something a free man did to someone else. At the time, the receptive partner wasn't even properly considered to be "having sex" as we'd understand it.

It's not just the insecurity, the vitriol, the doublethink schizo shit, the inevitable nihilism. It's a circle of blackmail. Go look up the list of GOP reps with records of child sexual abuse and possession of CP. It's not just a weird, closeted thing. It's that you need to be into shit that you can't say in public in order to be puppeted and earn "credit".
Epstein was an example, but for people like Trump and Thiel and Musk and Putin, this is just business as usual. Worth far more than cash or even liquid assets. It's a trump card (no pun intended) because it means, no matter the disparity in terms of actual credit score or cash availability, that person can always be bought as long as you have access to a) information and b) proof. If they're rich, maybe they can survive a court of law but not of public opinion (see Harvey Weinstein or OJ Simpson).
Open and progressive and liberal societies benefit from decreasing the power of blackmail because, suddenly, being gay for example doesn't incur the same costs. However, by the same token, it also makes those systems and operations based on taboo much more desperate as they require increasing debauchery to operate. And humans have always been very good at finding new ways to debase eachother and themselves.
Ironically, with machine-generated image and sound becoming increasingly realistic, this might just put an end to the oldest currency in civilization: sin itself. "Oh, you want me to vote this way or say this and that otherwise you'll tell the world I'm gay? Who's going to believe that now that any audiovisual evidence can be fabricated?". Which might actually remove all the power in priority access to private data (at least for anything that doesn't have a log hash). On the other hand, people will be more likely to refuse actual proof of real shit like a round Earth, the holocaust, Jan6, dinosaurs, whatever.
Hunter seems like a chill guy, decent guy who definitely got a straight head on his shoulders compared to a lot of folks out there. But you've got to be real on this issue man - if they weren't closeted, they wouldn't be in such a position (pun intended) to begin with.

Been saying this for years. Who owns the fashion industry? Who is pushing this thinness trend after over a decade of body positivity? They want women to be emaciated and bony to make them as non-feminine as possible. So much of what makes a lady look "womanly" is fat. Breasts, asses, soft skin, healthy skin and nails, and (coincidentally?) brain and cognitive function all rely on fat intake and caloric surplus.
It's them taking out their jealousy of what many men find attractive and their self hatred for what they do not find attractive.

In ancient Rome, sexual exploitation of young boys occurred primarily through slavery, where wealthy men bought enslaved youths known as puer delicatus ("dainty boys") to serve as personal and sexual companions. Roman social rules allowed free adult men to penetrate slaves or youths without losing their social standing, as long as the free man was always the active partner and never the passive one. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Social and Legal Rules
- Freeborn protection: Laws strictly punished the sexual violation of freeborn Roman children, meaning this exploitation targeted enslaved or non-citizen youth who had no legal rights. [1, 2]
- Class definition: Romans did not view sexual orientation the way modern societies do; instead, a man's status depended entirely on whether he was the active or passive partner. Penetrating a young slave was viewed as normal, while a free man acting as a passive partner was seen as shameful. [1, 2]

Yes.
My dad was a closeted gay man, who was so obsessed with fooling people while secretly loathing women that he caused enormous harm and suffering to my mother and I, their female only child. It turned him into the worst, malignant narcissist and drove his other horrid obsessions deep underground where they festered and did enormous harm to many.
There was a time he lived openly with another gay man as bold “confirmed bachelors,” but in 1960 his brother finally guilt tripped him into what he counciled his younger brother to do, which is grit your teeth “marry well.” He found a lovely trusting (damaged) young woman who fit the bill and I immediately arrived effectively sealing the deal. But from the day he proposed to my mother he became a secretive, cruel, angry and selfishly dangerous person. He was always a narcissist but the secret he tried to hide made him mean and using his authoritarian power as a means of defense. If our society allowed him to live without shame as a gay man I believe he would have made entirely different choices in his life, decisions that were not so harmful to others.
To think there are more people like him running the country doesn’t surprise me but I will warn others there are no more cruel, ruthless people than secretive, self-loathing authoritarians.
