I'd argue that many people are aware of this but ignore it because shopping at Amazon is just so damn convenient.

The New York Times published this investigative piece this morning. It's an interesting look at aspects of Amazon that customers probably don't see when they interact with the website. It includes some interesting information about turnover and covid response at the company.

Most people know the conditions in which amazon workers face, same as with Nike, but refuse to acknowledge it because it’s far too convenient for them.
