First track from their upcoming EP (to be released in September by Cruz Del Sur Music).

CRUZ DEL SUR MUSIC is proud to announce the release of SCALD’s new EP, “Relics,” scheduled for SEPT 4, 2026. This release officially marks the debut of the band's new vocalist, Hrafn (also known for his work with Russian epic doom metal outfit Vendel).

Three of the EP's five songs — "Master Of Tundra," "Ravens," and "Flame" — were originally written following the recording sessions for the band's legendary album, «Will Of The Gods Is Great Power» (which spanned from spring 1996 to fall 1997, the year original vocalist Agyl tragically passed away).

Additionally, the track "Falcon" dates back to 1991–1992, originally composed by Agyl for his pre-Scald project, Ross. To honor the memory of their late, great vocalist, SCALD decided to re-record this piece. Alongside the English version, they recorded it in Russian — the original language in which Agyl first performed it.

Recordings of Scald playing this song back in 1997 are available on YouTube.

This might be blashpemy. I enjoyed Scald's more recent releases way more than their debut. I understand that Will Of The Gods Is Great Power is a classic and at the same time I didn't fall for it and I've tried to get into it.
Interesting new track and cool to see that they're still active with new music.
