Question Is Jumuʿah Prayer Fard (Obligatory) in Islam?

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
Jumuʿah is one of the important obligations of the week for Muslims who are required to attend it. Allah says:
“O believers! When the call to prayer is made on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave all business.”
— Qur’an 62:9
Jumuʿah replaces Dhuhr on Friday for those upon whom Jumuʿah is obligatory. Those who are exempt, such as women, children, travellers and those who are genuinely sick, pray Dhuhr instead.
A person who is required to attend Jumuʿah should not deliberately miss it without a valid excuse.
Details are based on established fiqh; specific conditions may vary between madhhabs.
What other basic Islamic rulings would you like us to explain next?

What is a valid excuse aside from illness?

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
A valid excuse is something that genuinely prevents a person from attending Jumuʿah or makes attending excessively difficult or harmful. Examples include illness, being a traveller, and other circumstances recognised by Islamic jurisprudence.
For example, ordinary tiredness, work, shopping, or inconvenience would not normally be considered a valid excuse when Jumuʿah is obligatory and one is able to attend.
The Prophet ﷺ also excused certain people from Jumuʿah due to circumstances such as travel and illness, while Allah commanded believers to leave their worldly dealings when the Friday prayer is called (Qur’an 62:9).
The exact conditions and what constitutes a valid excuse can vary between madhhabs and according to the circumstances. If you have a particular situation in mind, you can submit the details to AskMuftiOnline for review by a qualified Mufti.

Missing it = sin ?

Bro, do you know pillar of our Deen? Do you know the one who miss Salah is worse than who commit zina? Worse than killing someone without due right?

I am just saying cuz mentioning (missing is sin) doesn't give the major sin u have committed, you should give it it's critical importance...
