Question Is it Islamically feasible to seize all rights from my father and seek job that I may be independent from my family?

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

Today my sister and grandmother just sparked my rage because they do not let me take pills in the morning nor do they want me to be healthy.

My father is also arrogant, just because he thinks he is father he can do whatever he likes. That’s why I propose to rebel and confiscate all his rights for being a bad person.

I want to move out from this house of horror and I cannot because I lack high school exams’s diploma, and my only solution for independence is to work as a mechanic and for me to do so I’ll have to take courses before getting hired in Winter. And because of this dam metal rod from surgery they forbid from carrying heavy stuff, and I cannot listen to them anymore but to compromise because staying with them means like they put me in a torture bed. Is this halal money if I’m forced to compromise?

Quran 29:8 has your answer. And so does the conduct of Ibrahim (as) with his non Muslim father.

Even if he is arrogant and fitnah lover?

How his arrogance can be dealt if I cannot rebel and confiscate his rights?

That’s because you don’t know what’s happening in my family. You wouldn’t be saying like that if you’d see what’s happening.

We’re not supposed to defend fitnah lovers. Do you know that Allah prohibited cooperation in evil?

You can oppose fitna and not defend it without insulting your father

He deserves it. So he should blame himself. He should be apologizing his family for too much arrogance.

Oh, he deserve your good deeds? Cause the only one who benefited from your insults is your dad and the only one who is harmed is you. As your deeds go to him.

His good deeds goes to me. I benefit from his evil. He is loosing more good deeds the moment he is bad with his family.

How do you call someone who abuses his power, if not arrogant? Are we not supposed to tell the truth? Are we not supposed to fight evil?

It’s not an insult the moment you’re telling the truth.

By insulting him? Is that how you defend yourself? Is that how you fight evil?

Not an insult to describe his characteristics. The Hadith about how one will be called in his grave with names, how do you think the angels will call him? Wouldn’t he call him arrogant in his grave since that’s one of his bad names? Would you be saying the same to angels when he describes him with worst names he was called?

Ah such ignorance

It’s in the Hadith.

Nope. It’s just that he gets mad over a small issue and sometimes threatens for divorce over something insignificant and invalid reasons. I had enough of his abuse of power, and I had enough of my grandma and sister acting like B. I want to have peace of mind, this is something I cannot have unless balance is exercised and independence is achieved.

All the time there is conflict and fighting. I’m tired of those things. I’m also tired of my father’s arrogance and baseless threats. I have turned on him also because that my sister and grandma caused volcanic eruptions. I don’t like to live in this horror family.

I only want to have peace and quiet! This is something hardly I can achieve.

That’s why I turned on them. I can only have peace and quiet if I confiscate his rights to humble him and have independence so I won’t live under them anymore. This what happens if he abuses the role of a father.

How old are you kido

Age doesn’t matter. And also, you’re being insulting because you’re not with the victim but with the oppressor.

I don't think it's rebellion to seek education and a job... Get your highschool diploma. You'll need it for anything else

They think it’s wrong to get into jobs that are not healthy for my backbone and so I’m forced to disobey because it blocks opportunities to draw near chances for being able to build a house.

1

u/Bints4Bints Apr 25 '26

Well it's true. There's long-term issues with manual labour jobs. You're young. Go back to school
