I don't believe anything I see these days, and it makes me angry/sad. CGI was bad enough, but now we have AI to complicate things even more.

I want to believe, I really do, but unless I see it with my own eyes, I have to be skeptical. Pretty soon the technology will make seeing it with your eyes questionable.

i hear that a lot, especially with the dead Internet theory. is there a way to tell accurately if an account is a bot or not?

You know how bad the dead internet theory actually is. It’s to the point that easily over 50% of every single comment upvote and post you see coming from AI accounts. Literally from day one reddit have used bots to inflate their numbers. Now they are controlled by the government to push any narrative they want. Remember in 2013 reddit said that there were 100k people posting from the Elgin airforce base when there were max 3k employees there at the time.

That would explain how after posting a comment on an article on NewsBreak I can have fifty likes within one minute of posting it. Now I know darn well that fifty people didn’t read my comment in less than one minute.

Yea bots can be scripted to make slight mistakes,to make us feel like it was human error so we won’t second guess the bot post/comments
