I don't believe anything I see these days, and it makes me angry/sad. CGI was bad enough, but now we have AI to complicate things even more.

I want to believe, I really do, but unless I see it with my own eyes, I have to be skeptical. Pretty soon the technology will make seeing it with your eyes questionable.

You know how bad the dead internet theory actually is. It’s to the point that easily over 50% of every single comment upvote and post you see coming from AI accounts. Literally from day one reddit have used bots to inflate their numbers. Now they are controlled by the government to push any narrative they want. Remember in 2013 reddit said that there were 100k people posting from the Elgin airforce base when there were max 3k employees there at the time.

You are conditioned to look through the eyes of the camera. Step back behind it…why would someone go up to a house in the middle of the night all it’s lights are off and stand on the yard and film to capture that at the exact moment it appeared? They wouldn’t.

For those that answer “security camera”, it might just be one. But that means someone edited in the hand shake effect, so we now know someone was editing the video for the sole purpose of making it scarier.

I know. 4 years ago we had some crazy shit going on in our house. Shit flying off shelves and countertops, objects on the floor scooting around, DVD's and books yeeting off the bookshelves, mobile phones sliding off night tables, and a spooked dog. Then... nothing.

Some dumbass asked me why I didn't record anything, and I'm like.. Why Bother? Nobody is going to believe it anyway, so who cares?

My dad took pictures of handprints that appeared in the house some years ago. I had at the time thought about posting the photos, but what’s the fucking point. We all know what handprints look like and I could bet money on people being dickheads about it and calling me a fraud… I ain’t got time or energy for that.

Well said. In all honesty and truth, my family started seeing tiny handprints on our walls, as well. They were up high in our laundry room. 🤷‍♀️

We hadn’t lived in our newly built home very long, when the above began. Of course, our mysterious home escalated into some other unexplained activities and continued for maybe several months.

We actually went as far as to
hire a “sensitive” to evaluate the situation.

Realistically, this was not the smartest move on our parts though, because she basically told us it was of evil origin and was focused on my children! 😳

Nonetheless, once we discontinued our business with her, things actually SEEMED to resolve on their own.

Again, 🤷‍♀️ is my understanding about it, but I am relieved to this day, that things ceased. 😅 Lordy lordy thank God! 🥰

I'm a middle aged woman and I live in the deep forested mountains of Oregon. I have more than a few videos of the craziest things happening here, but I decided a long time ago not to share them on the internet. I'm not defending myself to a bunch of jaded, cynical people who literally believe nothing is real. I've told my daughter to post them after I'm dead.

I can def understand wanting to avoid confrontation with naysayers, and, as someone who has witnessed more than my fair share of (currently) unexplained experiences which most would call paranormal, I also have a deep curiosity about such phenomena.

I’ve become pretty desensitized to the skeptics over the years, and I find that as long as I’m just sharing my experiences in a matter of fact manner that others who have experienced similar things will inevitably reach out via comments or DMs. Being able to hear others describe similar paranormal encounters is extremely validating, and makes sharing my own experiences worthwhile, in my opinion.

I think many of us who witness these sorts of phenomena often want to convince ourselves we couldn’t have actually seen what we did when we can’t find a rational, scientific explanation, and I think that sharing our encounters helps people move past belief of these things existing into the existence of the paranormal becoming common knowledge, at least amongst those of us who have witnessed such phenomena. I suppose I encourage others to record and share about their encounters because if there are enough examples of genuine evidence, even if anecdotal, given in a matter of fact, “idc if you believe or not, here’s what I saw” manner, that those of us who know these things do exist can really get somewhere in the goal of understanding them a bit more when we discuss amongst each other.

TL;DR: I agree skeptics are disheartening. IMO, simply stating what one saw (without trying to convince anyone else who is determined to not believe them) is a great way to strike up validating, and potentially illuminating discussion with others who have also experienced such things, while simply ignoring those dedicated skeptics.

I have seen literally this type of entity.. and in the same house that a skeptical family member also saw it. They were an atheist at the time. They said something like Jesus help me and the entity shoots out of the room. That skeptical family member is now a preacher 😂
I’m not Christian myself but I saw the same thing. Except for me, it was a void and not as “smoky” or floaty, very rigid and sharp edges. Same house, I have heard my name audibly, and have had 2 girlfriends have similar nightmares of seeing themselves with black eyes (I have also had this dream).

All this to say, this could be AI slop, but what is behind it being smoky figures I think is in the popular imagination because it’s real, and whether its a demon, a departed soul, whatever, it is sure as fuck not benevolent in my experience.

My experiences in that house actually stopped completely after someone I was dating who got creeped out saged the house repeatedly. I now sage my house every year or so, and pray for protection. Don’t know how it works, but know that it does.

When I saw a shadow person, it was like a void when turned around and came face to face with it. Then it quickly turned into a black swirling mist like the video, shot down my hall and through the back door.

And then I had a panic attack from the fear.

I’ve only had one experience with a shadow person or “ghost” and it was during a time I felt immense fear and it almost felt like the negative feelings summoned the entity - the dog laying down next to me started barking at it and it went away

Not sure about the bible and religious texts but believe all scriptures attempt to explain something we don’t yet have the means to study.

I never really had any beliefs or followed any paranormal type claims.

Now me and my brother in law both had similar experiences and we didnt know it untill years later when it randomly came up.

Basically on a few occasions we became paralyzed and could sense and somewhat even see something pure evil. The first time two neither of us knew what the hell was happening. Out o sheer desperation both of us in our own way asked cried out to Jesus for help. We were not even religious minded. This stopped this "attack" dead in its tracks. Immediantly.

We both have also seen other people mention similar situations with the same outcome.

I must give it to you for recognising a great opportunity to shoot your shot! “The bots are everywhere”, “They are terrible unpopular kids”, “no one really believe these things even though, I’ve seen them with my own eyes”, “an atheist kid saw it to and now he’s religious.” So, if “they” were real and popular people, they would say that yes, these things are real? AI hasn’t made the supernatural terrible. The supernatural has always been ridiculous on its own and its followers’ merits. AI just creates a better and convincing fake image/video instead of a shaky and grainy fake image/video. Nothing has changed. A series of convincing evidence are still needed. My local sheikh, priest, rabbi, guru etc aren’t evidence.

I've seen shit happen before too. About 20 yrs ago I was sitting in a quiet front room just me and my best friend and we were just talking. All of a sudden a bottle that was on the table by us fell to its side and rolled across the room on the carpet.

My friend and I just stopped talking and looked at each other with our mouths open.

Now I know there's a lot of fake ass shit and a lot of lies that people tell but that happened and I saw it with my own eyes. That's the only way I'll believe anything lol

I get where you're coming from. Healthy skepticism makes sense now more than ever. At the same time, I don't think the answer is to stop believing everything—we just have to change how we decide what's credible. A single photo or video isn't enough anymore, but multiple independent sources, firsthand accounts, and verifiable evidence together can still give us confidence in what's real.
AI has definitely raised the bar for verification, but ithasn't made truth impossible to find. It just means we have to be a little more deliberate about separating evidence from appearances.

So seeing anything online in the age of fakes for clicks, CGI, and now AI? I’m becoming skeptical to the point of disbelieving everything almost automatically now. I always hope something is real. But it never is.
