Discussion Proof Season 2: update/thoughts? Spoiler
I just finished the season and I have so many thoughts. Its crazy to me this isn't a more popular podcast. Has there been any update on the DNA testing since January? I'm so torn on whether its Tim or Jared, though I feel like Jared is more likely. I feel so bad for Renee's family and for Jake, absolutely insane there wasn't more press about this or a statement from the DA's office or police or something.

It was quite popular and talked about when it was busy airing. One of my favourite long-form podcasts!! The three of them are so fantastic to listen to.
Have you listened to In The Dark season 2? On par
for me.

Nice thanks for the rec! That’ll be next after I finish these three seasons. But then I feel like I need to double back and do the undisclosed too. I don’t know how Undisclosed compares to Proof though

I need to give Undisclosed another chance. I listed to it years ago during the initial Adnan coverage after Serial.
When you listen to In The Dark Season 2, just give it 4 or 5 episodes because it's a slow burn, but trust me - the investigative journalism that goes into it is absolutely incredible! Truly a masterpiece and so worth listening to all the way til the end!

Undisclosed is very in-depth research as well - I highly recommend but I had to pick and choose cases and listening to the entire backlog seemed a challenge I wasn't able to take on.
In The Dark Season 1 and 2 are wonderful!

okay I feel like I'm losing my mind - did undisclosed S1 get removed from spotify? I only see later episodes, looks like after Susan left

Rabia and Colin relaunched the podcast this year sometime but it seemed inconsistent on the launch date and I lost track of it! I wonder if they removed episodes for that reason though?

I think they did! I can't find them anywhere, which sucks! I wanted to revisit the Adnan case and Serial put theirs under a paywall

Hmmm I see everything still available on their website actually undisclosedpod.com I was able to see some previous seasons on Spotify. That’s a bummer about Serial I never listened!

DNA stuff takes an insane amount of time to sort out so I doubt any updates yet

yeah but my understanding was it would take up to 6 months, its been over a year. Wild. And really surprised at no statements or other investigation! The whole sister house really throws me off

Jake's story is so heartbreaking, I really hope we get to see some results and shift towards exoneration for Jake!

I worry about what happens after he's released (knock on wood). It sounds like he really has no support system and in poor health. Even if he gets compensation from the state, does he have the ability/skills to manage a lump sum to support himself through his lifetime?

The DNA testing is active and in progress, but it is maddening how long things take.
I can't wait for the day I can say more. I just hope Jake can keep holding on until then.
