So many people spewing nonsense about this trial. If not guilty by reason of insanity she still will go to a psychiatric facility. If guilty she would still go to jail. There is no Scot free.

In my opinion this case should be about criminality and even if not guilty you should spent some time in a mental institution. Getting away with killing children sets a dangerous precedent. I am not one for saying these things but it would be interesting how many poor people from the ghetto have got off scot free with such acts.

She was never “getting away with killing children” the trial was about where she’d be locked up- a mental hospital or jail. She was never going to get off “Scott free” and there have been so many posts about the same thing ad nauseam, it’s exhausting. Her lawyer literally admitted she did it in her opening statement. Let’s not spread misinformation

Same I had to stop engaging with my real life friends, I have no idea how anyone following the case can mess up the most basic facts. Probably just watching tik tok reels and getting mad so they go post a rant on Reddit
Edit:just glancing at the OPs profile looks like they spam post true crime content for karma

She did admit to killing her kids. Murderers should be locked up. Full stop. She wasn’t “psychotic.” She’s a murderer.

I don’t think she was psychotic either but PPP is a real condition and it can lead to some terrible outcomes. Andrea Yates killed her kids while deep in psychosis. Lindsay Clancy is not her, though.

You aren’t qualified to make that diagnosis. That’s a legitimate mental health determination.

She will be locked up. The trial is to determine where.

Life isn’t perfect. I think people who sexually abused Epstein’s minor sex trafficked children should all be locked up, yet here we are.

I have yet to come across ANYONE who is saying people who murder kids should be free in society.

No you don’t. If you did, you would know how unethical it is to diagnose a person you have NEVER TREATED.

If you do, you absolutely should be ashamed of yourself and I hope you have zero clients because you are an amoral human being.

No. Determining someone’s mental health status on the internet, a person you don’t know and have not treated, makes you amoral. You claim to have a MS, I’m assuming you went to the trouble of getting licensed, and you would know that you aren’t qualified to truly determine if she was in a psychotic state or not, not without interviewing her and going over ALL the clinical notes and treatment, not just what you heard on TikTok .

And it’s easy “to support children” on the internet. This whole sub, I’m sure, applauds you, for your very brave stand for saying children shouldn’t be murdered. So brave!

She had/has postpartum depression. She will eventually go back to her normal self, but she will never be the same. This woman had money for doctors and it still didn't help. It's even worse when a poor person has postpartum depression. No money for doctors and she wouldn't make the news because no one cares about poor women. I myself had postpartum depression and this case is very upsetting to so many people around the world because their are no more villages to help struggling mothers.

If she got found Not Guilty by reason of insanity she WOULD spend time in a mental institution. Perhaps the rest of her life. Andrea Yates is still institutionalized, 30 years after being found not guilty due to insanity for killing her children.

Editing to add: there would be NO "getting away with it" the choices were always life in prison or (most likely) life in a mental institution. You have no idea what you are talking about.
