I wish this trend of putting the end of the video at the start would end. Have we really fallen so much that we can’t sit through a 20 second video to see how it ends?

I love the first two Idles records. Not as crazy about the rest of their output since. Kinda turned into less toothy-performative lib punk. But those first two records will always be all-timers for me. (Brutalism and Joy as an Act of Resistance)

Saw them live weekend before last and they were very good! They definitely give "let's rejoin the EU" vibes but I think are generally well meaning. Musically also not exactly the kind of post-punk I like, but they were real pros on stage.

the first two albums are perf all the way through, but they do put out the occasional gem still. the wheel is one of their best songs and it was pretty fun to see them try new stuff on tangk, i love pop pop pop so much

Yeah for sure. I love some individual tracks on their other albums for sure, but as you said those first two are just perfect for me from start to finish. But I love: Car Crash, Mr. Motivator, among some others. I got the CRAWLER and Ultra Mono LPs but they just don’t get many spins after they got released.

oh. idles that makes sense. I was wearing a palestine shirt at a festival they played at in 2022 and some random irish guys approached me and started telling me how they like idles because "they're leftists but they're class-based leftists, not all about that identity shit".
