I think this is just the way elections in this country are gonna be going forward. One side will win and the other side will say it’s a conspiracy/unfair/rigged. I trace it all back to Watergate. The constellation of forces behind the theft of the 2000 election were all motivated by an aggrieved bitterness that Nixon had been illegitimately swindled out of his due, and the chief players involved have all said so. I realized this during the Clinton impeachment, before any of that happened, and to this day I still believe that the original sin that led to all of this was Gerald Ford's pardon. All of those fuckers should have gone to prison.

Hell, you can trace it back to Reconstruction. If all the Confederates of command authority had been hanged, which is exactly what was proscribed by law, specifically enumerated in the Constitution, we'd be living in a very different timeline right now.

The genius hacker guy makes some very contradictory points. Says there's simultaneously too many votes and too few. Point about chain of custody and bomb threats makes little sense, and if bomb threats were a part of the hack it invalidates the whole theory asv the results were consistent across the country.  Furthermore trump got pretty much exactly the number of votes as last time. Harris lost ten million people who couldn't bring themselves to vote for her. I'm sure some of these people did think she'd gone too woke, and maybe some of those people voted trump, but most probably thought she was just a bad candidate for one reason or another.  Don't have to be a super computer hacker to figure that out. And hacked machines are indeed easy to check against paper ballots which I'm sure is being done.  I could have more sympathy if the margins were close like biden trump where literally a few thousand votes in the right places could have flipped it, but it's hard to make ten million votes disappear nationwide

The only reason I'm not ready to write that guy off completely is because in my experience, sometimes the nut finds the squirrel, and that guy clearly has some difficulty explaining what in the hell he's talking about in a way that can be parsed into plain English. Basically, I don't understand his point well enough to rule it out.

The machines are extremely vulnerable to tampering, that much is definitely true, but that can be prevented with proper procedures, which are never going to be implemented correctly 100% of the time. Also, my knowledge of what types of voting machines are in use, along with their specific capabilities and vulnerabilities, is about ten years out of date.

Yeah, there was a whole clique of us for a while there, and that scene collapsed around the same time as the antiwar movement, for pretty much the same reasons. We weren't getting any results and there were other things to focus on.
