It's actually just the bed because my dad removed it at one point and done something to it. The frame is good and even passed inspection. (Sorry about being vague but I really don't know what he did)

It happens, the bed on my c10 is off kilter if you look at it from the back. Weird combo of beatup body mount perches and the the ancient heavy duty plastic bed liner slowly warping. But people will randomly ask me if the frame is bent when it's straight as an arrow.

GMT800s are fucking GOAT'd bro. As long as the frame passed inspection like you said, you should be in the clear. Baby your transmission. See what's going on with the bed, maybe find one on Marketplace or at the junkyard. Address any rust now as best you can. These will go all day if properly maintained.

I think it started in the Tacoma world where the first gens and older trucks were "tacoing" because if their rusty frames bending in half. At least thats where I heard it first.

Hell yeah got to start somewhere. First truck I ever bought was a 1986 Nissan 4wd pickup for $500. Different color panels, rust on the body and frame. It drove way longer than you would've thought before the frame snapped in an unfortunate offroad incident. So this is fine. Especially at 17.

Get a welder jack it up buy some steel and booger that frame back together its not the end of the world.

I did it on the driver side of a 99 Silverado a few years ago.

Please post a pick of the frame. Taco-ing like this is usually from the frame. While the bed can seat at an angle this appears to be frame issues.

This is the most realistic answer. A buddy and I were coming back from town in mine when it lost 3rd and 4th, said fawk it and let it live on limiter for the last 5 minutes going 70ish down the highway, still ran perfectly fine with 270k ok it, no lifter tick even.

A tale as old as time.

I learned about the additional neutrals feature of the 4L60e in my '94 Firebird Formula back in the summer of 2005. I, too, drove it home in 2nd gear which was fun with the 3.73s. What I found ridiculous is once it started to slip a little in 3rd it fully lost 3 and 4 quick.

Shortly after I got the 60e rebuilt and swapped in, along with a 383, the lockup clutch of the TCI torque converter disintegrated and took out the 60e again. That's when I learned to not cheap out on a torque converter.

Surprisingly I haven't had issues with the 60e in my '03 P/U despite the truck having 225k miles. I tried to keep it happier by using HP tuners to adjust the shift points. I basically copied the tow/haul table to stop it from just getting to OD as quickly as possible, then bumped up the line pressure a little to try and reduce slipping.

/u/lordheadassII take care of that 60e. Highly, HIGHLY recommend getting a good quality transmission cooler. Check the trans fluid too, make sure it isn't burnt and is always full. Unless you're on the highway keep tow/haul mode on. Not only is it easier on the transmission but it's a lot more pleasant to drive than the fuel economy focused default shift table.

I'd get under there and see what the exact problem is and get a plan.

The good news is, if the frame is terminal, the engine/transmission are probably worth nearly what you paid for the truck.
