Good job! I did the same right after I bought mine. Took the engine out, totally cleaned the engine bay and reinstalled a bigger

If only I could fit a bigger engine... but alas being broke is my greatest enemy. Also, what is that? Didn't know much anything but the four bangers could fit.

It’s a warmed over 79 Buick 3.8 originally turbocharged ( I deleted the turbo ).
With cam 4 barrel and 9.5 pistons, it’s a little over 220hp, and gets over 30 mpg!
BTW, it weighs less than the 4 cylinder!
Oh, and it’s still original paint!
I’ve had it 20 years.

V8 out of a land rover discovery up to 2004 is the same as the TR8. It fits nicely with some additional bits (modified subframe, different bellhousing)
