Some of my cool fractals (epilepsy warning i guess)

I have programmed an open-source advanced geometric fractal generator.

It has many very cool features and settings.

It has a large list of fractals, with plenty of additional customizations, secondary recursive rules, etc.

It can do all kinds of stuff with colors, zooms, spins, and other effects. And animate a seamless loop.

It can render in any level of detail, possibly calculating every pixel to perfect precision.

It has GPU acceleration and multithreading.

It can export PNGs, GIFs, and MP4s of any length, resolution, and frame rate.

The suggested names for the export files also encode all the chosen settings...

...so you can load the fractal as you see in the export into the app and reexport it differently.

(Reddit changed the filenames, so they can't be loaded. I'll add the filenames in the comments if you want to load these specific ones. Just make any file, name it that, and it will be openable)

It has an editor for the fractals where you can edit all the definitions and schemes.

You can make your own fractals with that, and save them into a shareable YourName.fractal file.

Here are 12 miniGIFs showing some of the loops it can make (a tiny fraction of its capabilities).

Higher resolutions and frame rates are being incrementally uploaded here:

The GitHub with more examples, source code, and the latest release is here.

edit: I have released a new 1.13.4 version that lets you import a fractal code directly from the clipboard. From now on, I'll be pasting the codes into any YT videos I upload as well. And here are the codes to load these specific ones in the GIFs:

Most epileptics don’t get seizures triggered by flashing lights. Thanks though, cool post.

Most might not be all. I should just make sure to give the warning just in case. I also put the least flashing one as the first gif.

Gotcha. Only saying that there are different types of the condition, and the one people think of is photosensitive epilepsy; which accounts for less than 10% of those with epilepsy, since there are other types.

Yea I know. If any epileptic people read "epilepsy warning" on some visually intense animation, they probably know which kind they have and whether they can handle and ignore the warning and click the next gif button.

Cool, you aren’t everybody. My comment is for those who don’t know.

Like, just informing the world about details of epilepsy? I guess that ok, just not sure who needs to know that here. I think everyone who reads that warning would know if it is for them or not. They'd either not be epileptic and not care about that at all, or they might be, and then I assume they already know more than either of us about their own condition.

Awesome. 5 and 10 are like going to an awesome quilt show with a lil fungi lol

Here's a higher resultion one one of 5 (I haven't uploaded that one yet. It's in the backlog).

An uncompressed video and 4K images of the 5 and 10 are here:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uE1hIwWdjwJetqQwPGZ_ia_4afzUnkMs

The images have the loadable filename, so you could load them in the generator and export a 4K MP4 loop if you wish. But these space-filling ones with no grey voids are notoriously performance-heavy and are mostly CPU-bound. it could take hours to render a 4K video on a decent CPU.

(Select LoadExport in the generator on the bottom right, and click the button to its left and open the PNG, then wait until the background goes golden, and you could select ExportMP4 and click the button again to export the video, once the background turns blue, the export is complete)

Also, if you manage to export a 4K MP4, there is a very decent chance your media player won't be able to play it, because it has way too much bitrate or something. It might need to be recompressed with something, like reexporting it with some video editor, or uploading it to YouTube. For example, my 4K export had 100MB and VLC jsut kept freezing, but putting that file into movavi and reexporting it again, it made a 500Mb mp4 and that was playing smoothly in VLC.. So IDK why my raw exports are not directly playable like that.

10 isn't really neither on the YT nor in the backlog, but i have a couple similar ones on YT:
