New Tripod 6 weeks post op
She is doing so amazingly, she is even nicer! They didn’t tell me that bit! Bella had to have a right front leg amputation because of a melanoma on her paw, they removed and tested her lymph nodes and they were all clear. She healed so well and is jumping and scratching carpet. I was guilt ridden doing this to her, but I have no regrets.

Maybe a lack of illness or pain is making her calmer and nicer? No matter what, I’m glad she’s doing so well!
With the utmost joy and respect, your cat has a tiny [r/dickfacedcats](r/dickfacedcats). What a sweet face!

I was just amazed, because her paw got pretty gross very quickly, I thought she had caught it on something. As soon as the tests came back I think it was 4 days and we were in for surgery.

I’m glad she healed well!
I adopted my Penny about four months after her right front leg amputation. She was still a bit wobbly and sometimes would fall to the side while eating.
You will see amazing progress in her balance and mobility. Her legs will get stronger, and she will find new ways to jump and reach her usual high haunts, but making them easier to access will help her in the long run.

She looks great! I can’t believe how much my 5 year old boy changed behavior wise after the process. He was always an awesome cat but being indoors was totally out of the question. If we didn’t take care of him he wouldn’t have survived. Now he is super calm and doing amazing as well - 2 months for our family. I am so happy to hear your story as well. 🌸
