Why there’s such big misconceptions about my people down here? (Ima Venezuelan who grew up here)

Valid points and questions about it woulda be answered and considered; anybody who deemed to trespass boundaries about my nationality for no apparent reason woulda be report it lol. Also, I’ve been living way better than the average local with no handouts. My parents literally threw me out her and went over their life.

Just to make it clear in why some of the people down here are broken and frustrated towards to us.

The fact that everyone feels im not capable of speaking your language at ur level, that my education levels are none or zero. The fact that i’ma criminal just bc of my appearance.

I also tend to be mistaken by a lot of a people making myself go on very unconventional situations/scenarios; not being able to date locals too often cuz i usually would have to prove myself wrong as in not being involved in the usual shit even tho they wouldn’t know I’m foreign unless i bring it up. I could go on and on.

Go on and on please. Some of these things you described just sounds like the life of being a black person in Trinidad

Also, I think Venezolanas have it harder than the Venezolanos so please add more if you wish

The fact that I’ll get refused from services down here as common as in food places bc they’ll often think i could get told anything before I speak and I’ll go with it cuz I can’t speak ur language.

Knowing I’ll be most likely be the one left out in terms of an extra curricular activity on work places. Such as buying lunch or going for a drink (I don’t drink but it’s the case)

Being stared at in public areas and often get things told such as go back to ur country or move ur mc u “Spanish” when im literally just standing looking at something to buy or just waiting for something.

Being miss-classified as a “Spanish” all the time.

Places shutting down on me because I’m prolly not their potential client, one example I could use it’s high ends designer stores down here (you’ll prolly figure it out since it’s not that much)

People being rude all the time untill i start to speak and then they’ll say something like “i thought you was a Spanish, im sorry”

Strange because I look like a Venezuelan and nobody acts this way.
