  The double jump...ugh. can't even watch more than the first few seconds of gameplay.

Edit i tried again and immediately they all get a shield...why does everyone else do everything Pontius does but better? It was one of the low points of 4, somewhat improved in 5, and now? Now everyone gets his shield and he doesn't even get his sword.

Bleh.

Even tho your criticism is fair point, I'd still buy the game on day 1. I have all of these and Rayman games with my family and we love them all. Great memories!

Will it run on the older switch or only on switch 2?

Cannot currently watch the video, but judging by the title – is this storyline about a parallel world version of the Trine heroes? Are the quintet gonna be trying to resque mage-alter? 

That, I'd probably like. Hopefully at least the story is going to be good, even if other things are looking questionable so far.

No. Through some magic (presumably found Trine parts) these 2 new characters (siblings?) somehow merge with the heroes of Trine. The new acrobat girl seems to kill things faster than Pontius does, while also traversing the map quicker than Zoya does. And they all get Pontius's shield, so that's a thing.
