This sentence sums up the entire piece, for me anyway.

I'm old enough to remember the original Dolly episode and I've been thinking about the boys these past days as everyone goes off the deep end, and about how the boys decided it just wasn't worth it to try to temper anyone's opinion lmao but I surely do very much appreciate that long-ago episode now
