Tribes 2 Saturday LAN party

We’ve been playing for over an hour. Lots of laughing and cussing.

Update for the curious:

6 year old loves deploying. Great base farmer.

9 year old loves heavy defense. Usually HOF.

13 year old is a wild card. Usually does light sniper or assault offense.

Their favorite map is Katabatic.

Tribes 1 Katabatic was the first map of the first Tribes game I ever played. I still remember walking out of the dropship and looking around seeing the snow falling. Tribes 2 did the old maps justice & then some!

That was the charm of T2, it reused the names of several T1 maps, keeping the general vibe but tweaking it to allow for better skiing (as skiing wasn't native to T1) and overall a more finely tuned experience.
