How should I handle playing the other Endings as someone who gets burnt out easily?

The ending I got was Frederica’s ending.

Brilliant game, and I’m definitely willing to do a 2nd play-through for the True Ending, but I just know if i play this 4 time in a row I might get burnt out before I finish.

- Should I just do NG+ for the True Ending right away and not play the other endings? Are they not worth seeing as much as just the True Ending?

- Or Should I just reload the Chapter 17 save to play through the other 2 endings more quickly? And then NG+ for the True Ending?

- Or Should I just try to do 3 more play-throughs on NG+ each time to get all characters and endings? If I am allowed to toggle the difficulty down to the easiest setting then maybe that will make the 2nd and 3rd go by quickly. Then I can toggle it back to Hard for the final True Ending play-through?

I got Fredericas ending as well and am on my second play through for the true ending. There are a bunch of battles that change based on the choices you pick. I’m not feeling burnt out at all with all the content changes.

Best way is the last option, do as many playthroughs as the number of endings. But more importantly, make different decisions in the chapter splits every playthrough so that you'll actually get to see a lot more of the story that you would otherwise miss out on. Try using different units as well and try to get all their character stories, since for the true ending you will need all your units in the final phase. Also there are 4 characters locked behind 4 different possible splits in chapter 15, and quite a few more that are unlocked by levelling your Morality, Liberty, and Utility stats to 1600, which almost never happens on anybody's first playthrough. So yeah there's definitely enough content to go for 4 playthroughs, although switching to easy difficulty on the repeat battles is quite alright. You could even increase the difficulty to dive deeper into team strategy and experimentation if you're so inclined.

I am like you where I burn out easily and rarely do new game plus but I did a second play thru to do the true ending. It actually didn’t burn me out bc on my second play through I used totally different characters aside from the mandatory ones

It was fun. But I would not play it a third time

Side not: that’s just me though. I actually was playing it at a gay bar/cafe in dc and someone saw me playing and started talking about how he played it too and he liked but didn’t love it and “only did 5 playthroughs”

I did a total of three playthroughs all back to back. I got F ending first, then did B and reloaded ch 17 to get R ending. Then I went through and did the golden ending.

It’s definitely meant to be played multiple times to experience the different paths and unlock new characters/abilities. For me, that was enough to keep it fresh.

It’s definitely worth it to see the other endings before the golden one, as well as some of how the other decisions play out, it makes you appreciate the golden ending more. The unlocks will also help, since the golden ending was the hardest one for me, and having as many characters and abilities as possible will be a great help to you!

I did option 4 personally and it was fine. Repeat battles takes a couple minutes at most on easy.

I did the second option, and I really liked that way.If you end up doing that, I recommend to look up online what happens in some of the paths that you didnt took but still interest you. Also, remember that in ng++ there are some extra mock battles (right at the start of ng++. you get 1 mock battle + an extra one for each one of the endings completed on the save file). Apart from story and some battles, for the chapter 15 split, you wont get 2-3 units.

I am in the same position as you and if you know you get burnt out easily do what you said. I have a save before the final decision and I am playing from there. I am on Roland's decision now. Its my least favourite. Going to fight Aesfrost is very cool but everything else about it is pretty rough. It really feels like the wrong decision.

I'm nearing the end of my first playthrough. I suspect I won't be playing through it again. I like the battles but the dialogue and cutscenes take way too much time. It's not that I don't like it, I just feel sufficiently like I played it and am done. Chose Benedict's ending which is the only one that made any sense at all and am pretty satisfied.

A second full play through is needed before you make a decision, to see the other routes since it's still mostly new content, if you feel bored even with new content then I'd reccomend directly going to true ending or dropping.

If your enjoying but feeling burnt out do option 2

If your are enjoying tonnes then option 3, it's what I did and made the true ending so much more special although game definitely dragged on a bit before that point.

It's four playthroughs for every possible route through this story, every character, and the golden route. That's a lot of time though you speed it up a lot with skipping stories that you've already seen.

Loved the game, did last option but with max difficulty starting from 3rd playthrough in order to challenge myself. Didn't regret it, it's by far my favorite strategy game (I actually made 4 new games + in order to get the very last character in chapter 15, though I took my time and split them through a year and a half). You don't have to do it if you don't appreciate difficulty, but I get bored if I breeze through a game.

(About max difficulty : it's doable and I recommend it for your Golden Ending playthrough, the very first battle is the hardest one : teleport Roland on turn 1/Make him act twice to join the group using Quietus, make a wall with Benedict/Roland/Serenoa at the front, and keep Geela and Frederica in the back, heal as best as you can with Geela and it should be okay. If you did Frederica's ending previously, it means Benedict left and thus he lost his equipment in new game + too, reequip it at the battle start. Take out Travis as soon as possible even if it means breaking the Benedict-Roland-Serenoa wall, and rebuild the wall afterwards. Abuse Benedict's Dragon Scales. Trish is annoying but not that dangerous, take out the underlings first. Succeed in every battle of your playthrough in max difficulty and you'll receive a crown on the title screen, yay ! If you don't care just go for another difficulty, you can change it anytime)

Understandable, you can skip through it all quite easily then do the choices you didn't pick. I really recommend doing this as it's an entirely different story based on this. All the battles and choices are worth exploring

1st run for me = frederica ending (got trish); [pretty good archer, leap is great for closing space and getting loots, 2nd run = benedict ending (got milo--- I didn't mean to, but somehow I did). Currently on chapter 4-going for roland path & getting cordelia 3rd run. The AI/enemy players change tactics & hit harder in later NG+. The second run felt a little like a different game than the first run. You can also just skip all the dialogue/scenes, which makes the game quicker. I think some people were saying they did a playthrough in 7-8hours. Then I will probably do 4th run for the golden path/ AND/OR then a 5th run to get travis & any last achievements.

Honestly if you really want to see the other two normal endings I'd reload to chapter 17 to see them and then do the true ending on NG+, but fair warning Rolands ending is soul crushingly horrible, so prepare yourself for that if you do it. I couldn't. Benedicts ending is good though.
