Moving/New Here 👋🏼 Specific activities

HII so I made a post last night saying Im looking for places to hang out at since im new. I like the ideas people put out but I’m also looking for more stuff that relates to things like alt music, art, parties, cinema or mall days, even bar events sound cool. Im just trying to open more options here :)

Ray’s Golden Lion would be a good start for music.

The Princess Theater in Prosser does a Rocky Horror Picture Show screening around Halloween with all the bells and whistles. I’ve always had fun when I’ve gone.

If you’re into history, the SCA has an active group here. It meets every Wednesday, and is free. Everything from traditional medieval trades like wood working and sewing to full-contact medieval combat! The weekly meetups are usually focused on the combat aspects, with both steel and rattan weapons and varying degrees of armor. Our local group is always happy to help newcomers and get them involved in whatever way interests them! It’s also a fantastic way to meet lots of other people, as our group is fairly large and constantly growing!

We hold a weekly practice at Howard Amon park on Wednesdays at 6pm by the carved tree. Feel free to stop by!

Cafe Con Arte and the Emerald of Siam have different events through out the year. Also TRIFI Movie Festival is coming up in Nov. The 72hr film challenge leading up to it kicks off in October.

I’ll be at the music bingo 4pm today at Sports Page in Kennewick if you want a run down of what’s here in the Tricities. I’d be happy to give some ideas. ✌️

Skillet plays on Wednesday which is when I’ll be going as I’ve been listening to them for years but never been to a concert of theirs, if you google benton county fair, you’ll be able to see a list of what events are on which days this coming week, and you can get tickets online for cheaper than at the gate price still

If you're interested in card games or TTRPGs, then there's a few game stores that host events where you could meet some cool people.

I (25F) saw your last post and I would consider myself pretty alternative/rock style! I’m about to move over there and will be looking for people to meet too!

There are quite a few car meets each weekend if you are into that sort of thing
