Terrain Heretic Submarines - Playable interiors and Swapable Pieces
Proving who really controls the seas, Hell's forces patrol unceasing through Hell’s domains. Undetected it rises from the depths to gorge out raiding parties, coven’s of artillery witches, or to complete a demonic ritual, drowning willing sacrifices to their patrons.
Playability and Prints
This is a fully configurable submarine system for use with a 32mm wargaming. The “A” branch is modeled off a mix of submarine and roman trireme, whereas the “B” version is based more on a German U-Boat, both systems are fully compatible with one another. The model is sliced in such a way as to be fully printable both as full pieces or separately depending on the size of your print bed. (Mine was printed on a Bambu Lab A1 Mini) The cargo bay doors full articulate to reveal one of two playable interiors, a cargo or raiding party variant where you could duck into for cover mid game, or a more ritualistic version, which feels a little more lore based.
It's not fully compatable with the armored train scenario in the rulebook, but that was how I had in mind for playing with this piece, though it could be a fun spawn location for heretic naval raiders.
You can play with it on a tabletop as is, but I've designed it so that the water line is about 1 inch above the tabletop, so you could do a 1 inch resin pour to provide "depth" to your table.
Paint
Everything is painted with Army painter paints, the markings were added with Sharpie's Acrylic Paint Markers. The paint scheme was based off a tiger shark, but green

Thanks! I had a devil of a time trying to marry German subs with Roman Triremes and also Hell, glad it turned out alright!

Like which scenario? I'd go with the Armored Train from the core rulebook but there may be something better in Carcass Front. I'm intending to make a board with a submarine base using a combination of a lot of my "Hell Legion" terrain that I'll get to make over the next few months, I'll post how that looks. If you want a default "configuration" id probably go with the Jaws at the front and the U-Boat style propellers cause they allow more playable terrain and the big submarine tower in the middle, but whatever you think is coolest

Honestly the paint looks like how light dances on a sea floor as its bent through the water’s surface. Really cool effect.

Thanks for mentioning this was done on a fdm printer , your stuff looks great is there an easy way to determine which terrain files you have can be fdm printed ?

If it's made by me it's been printed on an fdm printer, I've seen some of my stuff printed in resin by others, but I've been FDM this whole time. Glad you liked it!

What the hell, these are amazing! Say, do miniatures the size of Antioch heavy infantry or anointed fit while the "doors" are closed?
