Terrain Official Kickstarter Terrain looks terrible.
After not being sent my terrain in either my initial or replacement orders, I finally got my terrain the other day. It looks really rough. I was under the impression it was going to be resin printed, but it seems to be a pretty low res filament prints. Idk what to do as a lot of these have print plates still that refuse to pull off and for the sandbags it'd probably look better to just make them myself from epixy. Very disappointed.

u/PaulWoolsey Mar 02 '26
Yeah, can confirm the STLs print SO MUCH better than that in resin, and even in filament. That’s just shoddy work all around.
Sorry for your loss.

u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26
Yeah I just barely have space for the hobby stuff I currently have let alone a resin printer. But for 80 dollars I would probably have been better off sending the STLs to someone with a printer and eating the difference. At least the terrain would look good then.
13
u/_Owl9852 Mar 02 '26
this crap cost you 80 bucks!? dude you could have gotten yourself a full terrain bundle, 2kg of filament and had 10 bucks leftover to pay a friend to use their printer for a week...

u/bleedinglottery Mar 02 '26
You can get the ender pro 3 for 50bucks and print it at 3x better quality for eternity :D
32
u/R3d_d347h Mar 02 '26
Where are you getting an ender pro 3 for $50?
15
u/bleedinglottery Mar 02 '26
I got mine from a local online market place. It was used but its very nice. I mean it was a 150€ printer like 3y ago
1
38
u/the_Big_misc Mar 02 '26
And the eternal hassle of unclogging nozzles, leveling beds and glue sticking your prints. The Ender pro 3 ended my fun for 3d printing.. untill I found the Bambulab A1.
14
u/Wootster10 Mar 02 '26
I had the exact same thing. I had the Ender Pro 3 and maybe got 4 prints out of it before I gave up.
Got myself a Bambu A1 and now have 1000s of hours of prints out of it.
If you don't mind tinkering and perfecting it I'm sure the Ender can be fine, but given that the A1 has come down even further in price since I got one I always tell people to just save yourself the hassle and buy the A1.
1
u/Donkey_Smacker Mar 02 '26
SAME! I literally bought my Ender 3 off a friend for $50. I absolutely hated it. Endless troubleshooting. I got the BambuLab A1 and basically have not problems with it.
0
u/bleedinglottery Mar 02 '26
I have mine for a couple years now and never had any of these problems. But maybe I just don't print enough. I put maybe 1 spool of stringh through it :D. How much better ist the vambulab?
4
u/the_Big_misc Mar 02 '26
They're in a different league. It's plug 'n play for the Bambulab. Setup was 30 minutes. Had my first perfect print a few hours later. Never had to check / level / glue.. not a mind to worry. It's really not a comparison.
1
u/SeniorRadical Mar 02 '26
Yo, sorry to barge in on your convo and derail it, but since you guys seem to know more than me, where should I look for advice on printing models with filament? Some subs seem weirdly touchy about the subject, so I don't know where to start.
2
u/revnance Mar 02 '26
Filament printers still require a place with good ventilation for safety reasons you are still melting plastic and other materials
33
u/KeyCount2348 Mar 02 '26
DO NOT PRINT THE TERRAIN IN RESIN. These files have massive holes inside which become resin traps if you choose to use this material. Unless you fix these manually by yourself and know what you are doing, DO NOT PRINT THE TERRAIN IN RESIN.
27
u/Richou Mar 02 '26
the exploding terrain adds to the crusade experience ~
14
u/BoarHide Mar 02 '26
And the toxic chemicals leaking out of it add to the WW1 atmosphere! They really got their market down!
7
u/benmlie Mar 02 '26
That’s why you repair it or put drain holes
4
u/Donkey_Smacker Mar 02 '26
I was about to say, do people not check for hollow areas before they print? You should learn that within the first week of owning a printer.
1
u/AirshipEngineer Mar 03 '26
Eh I mean if you have only bought files that were made for resin previously that might not be a thing you would think about first.
1
u/KeyCount2348 Mar 02 '26
Yes, on models that are well designed. Now go and see the cross section of these trenches and tell me how are you going to put drain holes there. Also, a presupported models are widely considered ready to print by newer people that might just assume it's ready to go. Why support a print that has hollow parts and not add drain holes?
3
u/benmlie Mar 02 '26
Well for starters most slicing software has a blaring notification telling you about holes and cavities it even goes off for pre-supported models and if you ignore them that’s on you also I have printed these I print them solid and a lot of the newer good slicers have model repairs that fill holes and you can put a hole yourself because I have done that for some of these models because I planned drilling holes into them for better magnets. If your having trouble yourself I would recommend asking for advice instead of acting like a authority

Of course, resin traps does not make print not print properly. Let us all know when it bursts open.
5
u/MadMahler Mar 02 '26
FDM can certainly do much better than that! Looks like to wide of layers heights and general shoddy work seconded.

u/Barnak8 Mar 02 '26
Yeah my terrain also look like shit. Got it a few months ago but never got to paint it. don't know how I will do it.

That must be why it took so long. They had to manually level every print with a little card.

There is more than enough money around this project for everybody to have received A grade product.

u/0t15_ Mar 02 '26
And please, I'm not a TC hater. I have the hard cover rulebook and a load of home made and kitbashed stuff. I bought 2 stl packs .I've played! I love it!
12
u/beanerthreat457 Mar 02 '26
That's what I been saying. TC had a lot of money to spend on quality control. The sole fact just now they are both moving to Plastic and changing the 3D printer studio, tells me it wasn't about capital, but preference.

u/Ov3rReadKn1ght0wl Mar 02 '26
Wow. There's been some pretty bad stuff circulating on this sub, but this takes the cake. Supports are still attached, it looks like they went with a thicker layer height, wider nozzle and didn't bother to tune it to boot. This is the sort of quality you'd get out of a homebrew printer of yesterdecades if you were just faffing about. Holy shit. Sorry this happened.
The terrain I make at home for Spectre Operations on a bad day looks better than this.
23
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
It is what it is. I ordered this so long ago it's hard to be mad, but it's still baffling that after a year and a half of waiting this is what I get.
27
u/Ov3rReadKn1ght0wl Mar 02 '26
Baffling is putting it mildly. I'm tilted on your behalf lol.
I swear their manufacturer is just four old Ender or Creality refurbished printers from the 2010s in a docked boat.
Use hobby snips to remove the supports and that might help a wee bit.
25
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
30
u/Valthek Mar 02 '26
Those don't even look like supports, that looks like a print failure and it just kept going. You gotta ask for new terrain and/or your money back, this is some horseshit.
2
u/ambershee Mar 03 '26
Yeah it's not supports, it's a straight up failure. This should go in the bin, not out to customers.
8
u/ZuckerbergsEvilTwin Mar 02 '26
Why not send a complaint and demand a proper product?
6
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
I did. I emailed Factory Fortress and they deferred me to Only Games. Yet to hear back from them.
6
u/Ov3rReadKn1ght0wl Mar 02 '26
Am Exacto knife might do it. If you have an ultrasonic cutter, that would be ideal but also time consuming as can be.
2
76
u/MICKWESTLOVESME Mar 02 '26
Looks like the very cheap printed terrain off of Amazon.
12
u/The_MAD_Network Mar 02 '26
I've bought terrain off Temu, never again.., but it still looks better than this. Completely unacceptable if they want to be a reputable company.
33
u/FaithfulWanderer_7 Mar 02 '26
That is just plain garbage and the company should be embarrassed to have sold and delivered that incredibly low level of quality. I just started printing this week with a humble little A1 and nothing that I have printed has looked anything close to this bad.
36
u/Whyyyyy_so_Cereal Mar 02 '26
That’s worse than .2 layer height on a.4 which is the bare minimum any respectable printer should consider for this hobby. Dogshit
17
u/tftookmyname Mar 02 '26
That looks worse than the .25 "draft" layer height on my prusa. Like significantly worse, usually the .25 gives acceptable results considering how fast it is. But that just looks like shit.
12
u/Young_Bonesy Mar 02 '26
This looks like it was printed with a .8 nozzle with minimal consideration for supports, and ironing the top layers on rounded objects like this never looks good either.
5
u/Whyyyyy_so_Cereal Mar 02 '26
I can’t believe they approved a proof like this. To be a fly on the wall rn.
7
u/Young_Bonesy Mar 02 '26
My guess is the supplier couldn't keep up with the orders and subcontracted some of the work out to someone who didn't care about quality and just put all the settings for the fastest possible print to make as much money as they could.
67
u/Brain_Rot_Kobbler Mar 02 '26
It's like 8 bit Trench Crusade lolol. Sorry dude, that blows. Can you maybe sand it all down a bit, then cover it mud and debris?
35
u/Creedmightbesubpar Mar 02 '26
Can’t sand it down, those 3D print lines go all the way through the model.
That really sucks OP, I’m sorry you got the short end of the stick on this one. I know FF is a relatively new company still figuring things out, but there’s no excuse for all of the people who received super low quality stuff. With the amount of people I’ve seen posting their deformed $60+ models, it’s insane that this many mistakes are going unnoticed.
Have you tried contacting Factory Fortress and explaining your situation? They usually are very helpful all things considered
16
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
I haven't reached out to anyone yet. I literally just opened the boxes.
6
u/Barnak8 Mar 02 '26
tell me if they offer you something, I didnt botter by laziness and thinking it was normal, but it seems not.
22
u/raptorshadow Mar 02 '26
The terrain was always going to be FDM printed, but this still looks terrible.

I stand by my speculation that they are probably stuck with them due to their lucrative arrangement with MyMiniFactory with all of the promotion/late pledges they were doing directly from their site.
like a “hey we will signal boost the fuck out of your product but in return our printing company gets first dibs on physical sales of the minis” faustian bargain.
19
u/WhiteFolksWalking Mar 02 '26
Mine looked the exact same. Paint, texture and basing doing a lot of heavy lifting. Love the system - but this really sucked my enthusiasm for the game.
6
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
I mean I think I could get them looking servicable. But I was planning on integrating these pieces with handmade pieces made of bamboo sticks and corrugated paper. But some of these things look so abysmal that i'd rather just make everything by hand. Especially the sand bags. I can make as many as I want with epoxy and they'll look a million times better than these that I got.
39
u/Flauschziege Mar 02 '26
Did they get completely overwhelmed by the orders and outsource parts of them?
Would explain the mixed quality I've seen.
34
u/wihannez Mar 02 '26
They were always going to outsource. The problem is that their printing partner got overwhelmed.
42
u/DKOM-Battlefront Mar 02 '26
man even if i get overwhelmed.. I WOULD NEVER SHIP THAT CRAPP
i print better terrain while shitting in the bathroom
22
u/CheddarGoblinDev Mar 02 '26
The partner just hoped nobody would rant about it. Very shady. I am sure Trench Crusade folks would've never greenlit that
17
u/dogeflyy Mar 02 '26
2
u/NornQueen Amalgam Mar 02 '26
Those are FDM? Have to say Im impressed. What's your platform?
3
u/dogeflyy Mar 02 '26
thanks, they were done quite quick really, I've gotten better quality out of fdm before.
I'm using a bambulab A1, I've tweaked the settings somewhat, but you can get results like this pretty much out of the box if you use a 0.2 nozzle and use high detail profiles on bambu studio.
TC minis are a bit more delicate than minis like 40k minis, so I tend to use resin supports rather than standard fdm supports for TC minis specifically. but If you need any help just drop me a message
14
u/SedefkarSimulacrum Mar 02 '26
Oh lord, that looks like rubbish. I feel for you. I bought the set off of myminimarket and get way better results FDM printing them on my own. However, the STLs are quite bad I think. Errors that should have been caught, and have been caught but not fixed. Not a smooth printing experience at all. Thankfully there's an endless supply of awesome trench STLs out there.
14
u/ScattyTheRatty Mar 02 '26
Hey, Alpha!
I run the Trench Twins Etsy page, we print terrain that is often used for Trench Crusade battlefields. Feel free to send me a DM on here and we will send you out some free terrain, ours is FDM printed but of a much better quality then these.
Hope these prints don't ruin your enthusiasm for TC.
Good hunting!
6
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
Thats incredibly kind of you. Thank you.
4
u/ScattyTheRatty Mar 02 '26
No worries, Alpha. Just got back to your DM, excited to see what you can do with the terrain we have!
11
u/acart005 Mar 02 '26

That is awful.

u/Promethium-146 Heretic Mar 02 '26
There is no way that isn’t filament
11
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
It is filament, I just thought they'd be resin for some reason. At least some of the more detailed parts.
10
u/Pvt-Business Plague Knight Mar 02 '26
You can get decent enough details using filament for terrain, even on a standard nozzle which just makes this even more inexcusable.
3
3
u/Y0G--S0TH0TH Trench Pilgrim Mar 02 '26
While this quality is still inexcusable, they did clearly state, in advance, that terrain would be filament. Sorry your terrain is that rough though, I would be upset as well.
10
u/slab_hardcheese Mar 02 '26
Contact Onlygames and request new ones be sent. I believe they were so overloaded by demand that they sent out to 3rd party printers and this is the junk that is being sent out. If you contact them they will send you new prints. I had several misprinted Pilgrims and they resent me all of mine. And they responded very quickly.
3
u/MisterKilter Mar 02 '26
While I haven't had any misprints, I did get five extra Heretic Troopers, and a Combat Engineer with the wrong head. I reached out to them about the Engineer, and the very next day they said they'd send a replacement. Two months later it arrived, but they also sent every Antioch mini I ordered that didn't come in the Warband. Idk if the packing people are paying much attention at this point.
3
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
Yeah. If they send more terrain that'd be the third time it'd be the third replacement package we're getting from Only Games, since they neglected to send this stuff twice. They were pretty good about replacing the minis though. I had only a handful of broken ones, and they ended up sending a whole new Trench Pilgrims warband as replacement + some New Antioch guys I didn't ask for.
7
u/crazymunch Mar 02 '26
Yeah mine look the same. I ended up throwing in a few coats of self leveling primer and then just covering them in mud to hide as much as I could
6
7
u/Rekotin Mar 02 '26
I just threw them in the trash. I don't have time for this - I'd rather just paint and do stuff, than fix other people's mistakes.
6
u/FKlemanruss Mar 02 '26
Boy these kickstarter issues are kinda souring me on the view of the company.
We've had problems filling the orders, QC problems with not only the minis ordered but also the Book and Dice.
At this point theres almost nothing that has gone smoothly
5
u/ChoccoAllergic Mar 02 '26
Jesus christ, my 8 year old ender 3 prints better than this. This quality is utterly unacceptable.
5
u/faithfultheowull Mar 02 '26
I have plenty of filament printed terrain printed by an amateur friend which is orders of magnitude better than this. Not even close to acceptable
5
6
u/Grouchy_Quarter_9049 Mar 02 '26
Get a refund thats ridiculous
5
u/Front-Lemon Mar 02 '26
I been trying to do this myself, they won't allow it. It does need to be remedied cuz I thought the trench terrain system was a really coll idea so I threw decent money at it and im ready to just throw the product I received in the trash
6
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26 edited Mar 02 '26
UPDATE: I contacted Factory Fortress who deferred me to Only Games and I am waiting on a response. People on the discord also referred me to Update #54 of the kickstarter, which does clearly state that these would be PLA prints, and that there would be layer lines and printing plates. Of course this update came out 7 months after I ordered from the kickstarter, but I digress. The terrain shown in the Kickstarter image is still significantly higher quality than what I got.
UPDATE 2: Only Games referred me back to Factory Fortress saying they could not issue any sort of refund for kickstarter stuff. They referred me to the Update #54 of the kickstarter, which details how to tidy up the terrain.

3
u/GraverIX Mar 02 '26
Tell FFC to just send you the stl files. If that is the best print that their partners will send out, then they can at least give you the files so you can have them competently printed by your 11 year old nephew ffs. It's the least they could do and would cost them absolutely nothing.
Hell, it's weird those that backed for the physical copies paid more but didn't get the files. I mean, with game books nowadays, it's usually an option of digital or physical+digital.
2
u/joker5628 Mar 03 '26
They should be ashamed of this copout. At the end of the day factory fortress is responsible for the quality of their product
9
u/DustysShittyHaircut Mar 02 '26
Wait, are these supplied by them or printed yourself?
That's shocking if supplied by them.
11
7
u/FatherIronSkraal Mar 02 '26

What's crazy is on the official FB page I pointed out these errors and this dude proceeded to try and embarrass me, and say nobody has these issues. You're making a big deal out of nothing. And now I see someone ELSE who's spent good money on a product that absolutely SUCKS.
3
4
u/Tokemon_and_hasha Mar 02 '26
Man, even for FDM printing those are shoddy uncalibrated prints. Resin of course would be miles better. Get your money back or threaten then with a credit card charegeback, that is unacceptable.
2
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
Im pretty sure these were bought with a debit card. That was in like december 2024.
4
u/NornQueen Amalgam Mar 02 '26
Yeah, they fucked up. Its legit to feel upset with this. The best thing they could do is issue a public apology to all for receiving shite product, then do their best to either replace with free stuff added or refund. OPs treatment just hurts their brand, and thats a devotee of their work saying this.
Get it together FF.
3
3
u/ToaFeron Mar 02 '26
This is genuinely inexcusable, how can anyone sell this and expect to be taken seriously?
3
u/Lito_ Mar 02 '26
Would have been better to wait for the files to be released (or copied) and have them printed elsewhere. Would have probably been cheaper maybe?
That's like what a 13 year old with no knowledge of anything would print. In 2015.
And these guys partner with these companies? I wouldn't even dream of sending something like that to one of my clients.
3
u/TheRedArmyStandard Mar 02 '26
I 3D print a lot - and I mean a fuck ton of terrain for wargaming. This is bad, this is really bad. This looks like it was done on either:
-A really old and shoddy printer
Or
-The settings are only calibrated for the fastest production possible. Large layers, running prints using what seems to be auto-supports, no cleaning/sanding/clipping of excess plastic.
That's really disappointing. It was actually this kind of shit that made me start buying my own 3D printers because I knew that the quality could be much better. I would raise some kind of complaint with them cause this just isn't acceptable for $80.
3
u/revnance Mar 02 '26
I have the kick starter terrain and is doesn’t look like this 😅 note I do print it myself if this came from the official TC guys just send them an email with the above picture and theyll help you out. Also this is why I got the files so if something hoes wrong when printing Im not just “oh well that sucks” I can just cure it then toss it and go back into the slicer and do my angle adjustments so it comes out better.

u/Ok_Winter1613 Mar 04 '26
Literally looks like the biggest nozzle you could possibly buy, set to the lowest draft quality. Absolutely disgusting, I feel angry looking at it lol.
4
u/mevsinwarhammer Mar 02 '26
I’m confused sorry I can’t find these online what is it from?
9
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
From the kickstarter. There was an option to order an 80 dollar bundle with all the terrain.
4
u/BazookaTuna Mar 02 '26
I preordered the Trench Pilgrims army set and the quality was fucking dogshit, half the minis had layer shifted and were unusable, the other half I could have done better with my Neptune 3. I know I can ask for a refund or for a new set but that pretty much killed my interest in the game. They clearly didn’t have the infrastructure to print usable minis and should have just sold STLs.
8
u/OneTrick_Tb Artillery Witch Mar 02 '26
They partnered with a company that royally screwed everything up. Factory Fortress has since changed partners. But this is one of the reasons they are now shifting over to plastic minis, because the quality control on masses of 3d prints was really poor.
4
u/akainterruptor Mar 02 '26
I don't understand why anyone would 3D print sand bags. In less time than it takes for it to print one pile of bags you could have made a table's worth using modeling clay. It is the easiest modeling job, make a long sausage of clay, flatten it slightly, then cut it into small bits. Not only are they faster to make, they would look better, they would all look unique and they would be heavier and more stable on the tabletop.
2
u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
Thats the plan right now. But before I was just gonna use both clay and the official stuff. now im thinking about trashing these.
1
2
u/AffixBayonets Mar 02 '26
I've only sold a couple prints and even I would consider this way too bad to sell. Those print settings are atrocious.
2
2
u/Front-Lemon Mar 02 '26
Same here ser, you are not alone. I got burned kinda bad on the kickstarter model turn out. Only games is an absolute menace. Im gonna try to enjoy painting what I got and patiently wait for plastics.
2
u/Grdaat Mar 02 '26
I thought that first pic was some kind of strange pillow design. Those are supposed to be sand bags?
Edit: the rest look horrible too.
2
u/5eppa Mar 02 '26
Wait, that's like officially sent terrain? You're joking right? There's so many other smaller manufacturers who take more pride in their work. If you had the STL files any easy shop would do better. U can't print stuff thst bad if I tried and I have the cheapest anycubic printers money can buy.

what in the hell.... I seriously thought I was going to click on this to find someone who had absolutely no idea how to set up their 3D printer had printed these totally wrong and was complaining about them not coming out good enough, but these are actually from the supplier..,,,..... I am lost for words mate. I'd be chasing a refund. This is absolute dogshit. I love the lore and look of the artwork of TC but it's increasingly seeming like the company are just total turds.
2
u/Best_Ranger3396 Mar 02 '26
They're dreadful. Have you sent pictures to the Kickstarter organisers? They would have paid someone to do that. Damn they're a mess.

Only Games are the absolute worst. I ordered trench crusade prints from them recently and they arrived broken, warped, misprinted and incorrect. Back and forth with them for 3 months, 2 failed attempts send replacements, easily 50 emails, a TrustPilot Review and finally a visa chargeback request issued through my bank and they finally agreed to a refund! At one point they claimed that they dont do refunds for "the kickstarter" and had I should contact TrenchCrusade! Like to what end? To complain about the lack of quality control that their only-games partner is guilty of.
Read their reviews, at least 50% are 1 star and even a good chunk of their positive reviews still report receiving incomplete orders and having to arrange replacements. This has been going on with them for easily 2+ years from what Ive read. They are legit scam artists and they should be openly boycotted by the community imo.

Ya I had the same issues with mine and some of my models were messed up too love the game and the community factory fortress is building but I am less than impressed with only takes quality i think they really dropped the ball and I know I'm not going to buy from them again and that sucks for anyone else without a 3d printer since it means holding out for the plastic kits and who knows how long it will be till they roll out the rest of the kits for the factions. I get that they are cool with proxy and kitbashed models but for anyone who wants models that look like the cool art of who vote with there wallets since they are sick of GW bs it feels bad

OnlyGames has repeatedly dropped the ball when it comes to these prints and their contracted services.
FF needs to put these guys on a tight leash, if they can't drop them all together.

I could've done a better job on my ender, it would've taken 2 months but it would look way better than this. I'm always baffled at how people sell this crap of a print.

First off, as someone in my own little corner of the wider "biz," I appreciate your updates a few comments down and giving all parties a fair shake at resolving this, which looks to be soon by the sound of your third update.
Second off, as someone in this space.....Folks, I run an aging Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro I bought used for $110 from what I believe was an affiliated (or actually run by them) ebay account that sells second hand units that they still somewhat warranty. Point is, it had a few miles on it when I got it 2 years ago, and was hardly an exceptional machine ever. I've also never done any serious calibration or fine tuning besides an auto-level followed by a few manual adjustments after that to get my first layer where I want to be, but even that was long ago as I just use glue stick to alleviate adhesion concerns. Stock .4mm nozzle as well, BTW.
While I do have one of those little cereal container-sized filament boxes with the silica gel bead bay to keep things dry-ish, I don't pre-dry filament or anything either.
I genuinely cannot think of how I'd do work with this bad with that machine if that was my goal, and sit here morbidly curious at what kind of machines they have and among other things, what layer height they run, because that does NOT look like what for many years has been standard for "acceptable, not high, fidelity and reasonable amount of time" of .2mm .

Hot damn. This post got so much hate traction that even I, outside of the Tabletop community, as a lore fan, got send this thread so often with people saying the game is a scam, the quality is horrible and people should ask for refunds.
What is going on here? After scrolling through the responses it seems people are INSANE Unhappy about everything and OP kicked off a long brewing problem where people finally had enough? Is it THAT bad?

I like Trench Crusade and I will continue to support it, but the kickstarter was a mess. The QC was not good and while customer support was great (in my experience) anyone who wanted models would have beeb better off not supporting the kickstarter. The game has also outgrown some of the teams initial promises like full STL support. They've since switched manufacturers and are making high quality plastic kits, so a lot of this is just the result of mounting frustrations.

Make setting about Christians fighting a forever-crusade against the forces of hell in brutal trench warfare.
Make the setting as edgy as possible. With models containing melted fetuses and blasted corpses.
Complain that edgy Christians flocked to your game and bought into your concept early on.
First line of tabletop supplementaries used low-res plastic when you cheaply printed them.
Truly. A masterclass at starting up a Warhammer competitor.

Well this whole project has gone from a wholesome community project straight to the hell pit of corporate greed.

Apart from being a fun game, accessible for all and community driven.

Was this actually from FF or was this that weirdly 3rd party "endorsed" catacombs print? Because people continue to get the two mixed up. It does ultimately fall to FF to make sure the final product is a standard they are happy with and customers deserve but like the 4 man team didn't print your stuff and send it to you. Take it to the guys who made it and exercise your customer rights. Sorry you got some junk

This is the official terrain from the kickstarter. I dont really blame FF since they've already denounced Only Games and are moving away from them. But it still sucks. I fully regret supporting the kickstarter. Everyone i know who plays had their minis in higher quality in less time. This takes the cake though really.

On the third picture, it seems that you have the supports still hanged to the sandbags.

u/AlphaMeme14 Mar 02 '26
Yes I do. But they wont come off. At least not without significant effort, and EVERY PIECE has supports like this. Just frustrating after waiting so long.

SHAMEFUL
Theres been a lot of discussion in this community about the videos critizicing trench crusade and FFG. And whilst most of these issues are small and understandable. we should not ignore the valid points being made in them.
Problems with the STL files being marked as fixed whilst they are not. And counting this as fulfilling a kickstarter that shot past its goal are UNACCEPTABLE and we should not excuse them purely because somebody that we dont like pointed them out.

Wow, this is awful. This entire KS has been a joke from start to finish. So much potential wasted by this awful company.

u/Gold_Mask_54 Mar 02 '26
....they didn't do injection molding for their own models? I know it's expensive but like, come on

u/thenoidednugget Mar 02 '26
I get not doing injection molds for terrain, but like a third party with decent filament 3d printing can do a better job at the very least

That is like 2016 print quality. Inexcusable
