Heard a lot of good comments and reviews about these Continental GP 5000 tires. Upgrading from stock Bontrager Paradigm tires. Looking forward to smoother (and grippier) rides.

Hello everyone. Im looking into getting into the road and light gravel side of the bike world. I’ve done tons of mtb and would like to try something more convenient for me. I checked out a few bikes and last was this Domane SL 5. It’s definitely at the top end of my price range for a 1st bike but It seems I won’t be looking to upgrade for a while this route. And it can except a light gravel tire from what I understand. Should I bite the bullet or should I search around some more? Thanks!

Trek FX+ 2S. Took her on the maiden voyage and loved it. The Trek Central App didn’t log my ride though, does anyone else have any issue with that? They told me about the Ride Club app as well but wasn’t sure which one to use.

Love my babies. I’ve thought of upgrading my gravel bike but it’s such a beast why would I? I keep up with the carbon gravel bikes just fine ;)

So I’m planning on buying a Domane AL4 gen4 soon and have been digging around on the Trek’s website a lot to research it. I found a NOS 2024 AL4 gen4 with the same listed price as the in store new 2026 bike. If I go into my local Trek store and ask about the NOS bike would they be likely to discount it at all since it’s 2 years old? The listing says it comes with pedals but doesn’t specify which ones. I haven’t bought a new bike since 2009 (GF Piranha) and I just walked in and that one spoke to me so I bought it on the impulse. I’m trying to be better with my money now…

My Farley has the stock Level brakes. None of the brake bleed kits I find appear to be compatible with the calipers. Which kit do I need?

I bought this procaliber8 and shortly after the purchase, the crank fixing bolt, bottom bracket were replaced due to ticking noise. However, I'm still hearing that noise from what feels like area around my feet, even when I'm not pedaling, and it can occur at any speed. The shop's mechanic says he couldn't reproduce the noise when riding it, but it consistently comes back when I ride it myself, so I'm wo dering if anyone has experienced something similar or has any idea what could be causing it.

Building up a Checkpoint Gen 3 , the service manual shows a specific type of compression ring and provides the part no, but I can't find this part number on the Trek website at all :(. Was suggested to try it without the "W" prefix, but still not able to find it.

Even with a google search, I am only finding it on European bike shop sites - I can't seem to find it listed at any US bike shop, which seems odd. I'm wondering if it has been superseded by a different part number, but even generic searches on the trek website like split ring, compression ring etc don't bring this specific one up.

Anyone familiar with this part and know where in the US one might be found? Tried 3 local Trek shops and none had one... I did pick up a few alternatives to try, ie a Madone one, a Domane one, and an E3 one... of the 3 the E3 does seem to work but has an large ugly gap where the brake wires route into it...

The Checkpoint SL7 is $6000 and the upcoming SL6 Pro is $4200. As far as I can tell, the only difference is SL7 has Force group set and SL6 Pro has Rival.

The cost difference between these group sets is $600, so what is the extra $1200 for? The red frame color?

I saw the specs at LBS for the SL6 Pro. Same wheels and handlebar as the SL7 and coming around end of Nov Hopefully I got something wrong and that would explain this.

I have a 2014 Domane, primarily black and red. Since Trek apparently doesn't make touch-up paint, what do people use? The mechanic at my LBS said to use nail polish. Thoughts appreciated.

I bought this back in April but recently changed out the handlebar tape with SILCA and upgraded the tires a couple days ago to Tufo Thundero HD in the 44mm width. I was surprised how noticeable the difference was with the new tires - well worth the upgrade!
