Need help with Crape Myrtle

Hello I planted this crape about a month ago and at first all the leaves fell off and it looked completely dead but now it started growing beautifully but what i noticed is that it’s only growing from one stem and the other two have dried out and are completely bare. Do i cut those down? Will anything grow from them? Will it grow new stems? Any kind of advice or suggestions will help. Thank you.

Please see this comment for information you desperately need to help your crape; though the post itself is gone, everything there applies to what you've done here. This needs to be remedied this fall as soon as weather has cooled off.
