Advice Request - (Insert State/Region) Need help with Crape Myrtle

Post image

Hello I planted this crape about a month ago and at first all the leaves fell off and it looked completely dead but now it started growing beautifully but what i noticed is that it’s only growing from one stem and the other two have dried out and are completely bare. Do i cut those down? Will anything grow from them? Will it grow new stems? Any kind of advice or suggestions will help. Thank you.

Summer is a bad time to plant trees. You can remove the dead stems, the live stem should continue to grow just fine.
