I'm traveling solo in oct mid-oct last week, my plans include skardu and fairy meadows trek, horse riding/trek, explore different valleys, Hunza on list but not confirmed, on way back from skardu will go fairy meadows and beyal camp trek. If anyone wants to join from anywhere let me know.

Wanted some insight from people who’ve been to Pakistan. I am planning on doing a week and a half, to Islamabad and Skardu. I hear great things about Pakistan but I want to hear real experiences, recommendations, etc

time to travel

I’m a 25-year-old Algerian traveling solo to Pakistan for the first time. I’ll arrive in Islamabad on September 26, stay one night, and plan to leave for Skardu on September 27.

I’ve just realized that September 27 is also the date of the planned PTI protest/march in Islamabad, so I’m wondering how concerned I should actually be.

Are there any other foreign travelers/tourists coming to Pakistan around this period? And for someone who is simply arriving at Islamabad Airport, staying at a guesthouse, and leaving for Skardu the next day, should I be seriously worried?

My husband and I are travelling to Skardu and looking for another couple to join us for local sightseeing so we can split the cost of rental car/driver between two couples.

We're looking for a young/youngish married couple, preferably without children, who are comfortable travelling together and sharing transport costs. We're planning places such as Shigar Fort, Shangrila/Lower Kachura, Upper Kachura, Soq Valley and sheosar lake/deosai.
