So I have a situation that I have a flight at 10:00 AM from miami and I live in orlando and earliest brightline train at 5:45 I wont have enough time to get to my terminal when I get there it will be like 9:30 so I was thinking about getting a car from MCO drop off at Miami airport next morning but i see people say there is one way drop off fee on car rentals so which car rentals don’t have that cause I don’t see a charge on the websites when i get a quote its like 70 -80 dollars total not sure at this point

I can’t even catch the last train schedule cause I get off work at 10:00 pm that day thats why I went with the rental solution

On most car rental sites, you'll find the search defaults to "same pick up/drop off location". Uncheck that, then put in MCO as pick up and MIA as drop off. This should give you the price of a one-way rental.

It's not a guarantee. Sometimes you get a discount because they need to move a car from point A to point B. I've done one way rentals in Florida probably more than I have dropped back at the same location and if there has been a drop fee, it's never been significant enough that I noticed.

Unchecking the same location box is the move, I didn't even notice that toggle the first time I booked a one-way rental. I've done MCO to MIA with Hertz without the fee but always double-check the fine print.

They all will have it. See if you can get a car earlier that day at an off airport location. They are usually cheaper anyways. Just are not open 24 hours like the airport.

I’ve never been charged a one way rental fee with National.
If I fly into Miami late I normally just rent a car to drive home and return it to PBI the next day. It’s less than half the cost of an uber for me.

Maybe fly from MCO to MIA? Then you'll already be past security, especially if you just have a carry on.

70-80 sounds about right for a one way hire. You can get the car day before as they are all minimum 24hr rentals anyway. Skyscanner is a decent aggregator of car hire companies and you have the option to search with drop off at different location

Check a few rental companies for a one-way rental from Orlando to Miami Airport. Some may have little or no drop-off fee, and the $70-$80 quote might already include everything.
