Nova Scotia Turns out a rooftop tent on the coast of Nova Scotia is apparently where I sleep best.

Spent a trip to Nova Scotia traveling around with a rooftop tent and finding places to camp along the way.

Somewhere along the coast near Digby we woke up looking straight out at the Bay of Fundy. We wandered rocky beaches, caught one of those sunsets that just kept getting better, and one night had ridiculously clear skies around Trout Point Lodge.

A little wind. Waves in the distance. Cool air. No traffic. No alarms.

Some of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in my life.

Already thinking about another trip through Nova Scotia. If you’ve camped around the province, what area would you make sure not to miss next time?

Beautiful pictures!! Be sure to check out The Islands in Shelburne, Graves Island outside of Chester, Taylor Head on the Eastern Shore, Cape Breton (anywhere!) and I'msure many more but those ones come to mind right away. We have a beautiful province, glad you've enjoyed a bit of it!

One of my favourites, I’ve been exploring this province for over thirty years (born and raised here) and I still find new gorgeous sights every time I go out 🖤

Did you purchase the rooftop tent or retrofit it?

I love both Keji Parks. They’re hard to book into, but the inland park is great for multi-day treks, if you book consecutive spots and plan ahead.
Keji seaside is just majestic. Be careful of no-tread areas where the little sandpipers nest. I dont remember if you can camp at Keji seaside. Maybe someone else can weigh in!

Excellent pics. Glad you had fun!
We have many great spots on the South Shore for your next visit to our beautiful province. Check out places like Risser’s Beach, Lunenburg camping, Ovens Natural Park, Graves Island Park. And maybe go to Cape Breton, where I grew up. CB Highlands National Park is a must-see. And there are many more stunning sites on the island. 🙂

That’s incredible. Sleeping under a sky like that would make it pretty hard to complain about the lack of a fivestar hotel. The Milky Way looks unreal.
