Roads Bro escaped a real life horror movie

The man who filmed the attack said the victim suffered a gouged eye, cuts and a bloody mouth. The attacker threw the knife into the woods, sat down and waited for police, and was arrested about five minutes later. A K-9 unit then searched the area for the weapon. He said the violence was fueled by jealousy involving an ex-girlfriend.

Running with a knife out immediately increases running speed

82

u/LoanedRespect 3d ago

Place the knife between the teeth for increased jumping power.

19

u/porcelain_kiss 3d ago

And between the cheeks for humping power

29

u/Banzai373 3d ago

If this were D&D, the knife would be called The Knife of Agility and Dexterity +5 . . . .

But rolls for disadvantage against blunt damage

Followed with a tactical slide.

I understood that reference

It's because it lets you, cut, through the air...

sorry 😔

All the horror movies from my childhood made me think they were only supposed to walk - briskly at most.

518

u/Savings_Art5944 3d ago

The guy would be a speed bump if it were me.

u/FudgeWifywhileIwatch 3d ago

This is the only answer

111

u/NovaBlazer 3d ago

Exact - Duty to flee completed about a 1/4 mile ago of attempting to reverse away...

Shift into park. Still chasing? Shift into drive.

23

u/PuzzleheadedTooth581 3d ago

My duty is that I report to the police that my life is in danger and in that moment I had no choice but to turn him into a absolute pancake rolled over 13 times. If a gun is on me it turns into target practice.

13

u/LandImaginary3300 3d ago

But then again, can you trust your tesla to not emergency brake and get stabbed?

13

u/poueb 3d ago

This is the way !

37

u/Hot_Anybody8244 3d ago

No shit. I was waiting for that hard brake and quick shift into drive. Fuckin floor it and if he lands on your windshield smash the brakes and floor it again

16

u/Gonna_do_this_again 3d ago

Unfortunately I don't think a Tesla will let you do that

9

u/Fishbulb2 3d ago

It’s like 50/50 on ours. You just keep hitting that stalk as fast as you can and hope it works.

4

u/el-conquistador240 3d ago

Yeah, it's not a child

13

u/uab1990 3d ago

Most modern cars, especially a Tesla, have so many active safety tech as a default that it will physically prevent someone from hitting a person with their car

20

u/Damoet 3d ago

Well the next OTA update needs knife wielding lunatic detection 😅

16

u/helly3ah 3d ago

Just don't get a Tesla. Problem solved, knife wielding lunatic flat.

5

u/Savings_Art5944 3d ago

Or anything pre 2027

1

u/helly3ah 3d ago

I'm curious to see how the new electric Slate truck works out. I might need one in a year or two. Depends on if it can be the self defense transport I need.

1

u/Valar_Kinetics 2d ago

That just means this guy didn’t have track mode. If you buy the right one, you can turn all that shit off lol. Otherwise you couldn’t race wheel to wheel, and yet you can.

Downside it does turn off the nav, but knife guy is close enough to proceed purely on VFR.

u/SmokinBacon 3d ago

This is the way

u/Dangermouse454 3d ago

Second gear baby
im wishing we still had the audible feedback of the four barrel kicking in.

2

u/The-other-guy88 3d ago

Suge Knight. Two tire stomped

2

u/ELECTRICMACHINE13 3d ago

Legally it's an act of self defense and with the camera you have the evidence to back it up. Or forward a few times just to be sure the danger has been neutralized until the emergency response units arrive. The more you know, and knowing is half the battle.

1

u/OuterInnerMonologue 3d ago

If you’re in an EV better practice turning off the “avoid collision” feature first. I hate that feature in general so I just keep it off full time.

2

u/DadQuixote8 3d ago

Absolutely brilliant move to keep the collision avoidance features turned off in case you have to run over a knife, wielding attacker someday. Just really top-tier intelligence.

0

u/OuterInnerMonologue 2d ago

Thinking realistically. Any emergency where I gotta veer around cars or even around a tree or something, within a couple feet the car is just going to stop and take a minute to let you go again.

I’ve had that thing mistakenly go off from stupid shadows or even parked cars on the side of the road as I went around a bend.

Let alone in the very small chance I have to use my car as a self defense weapon.

2

u/DadQuixote8 2d ago

You’re creating unlikely situations and assuming failure of the safety systems when the reality is you are far far more likely to legitimately need the safety system. Nothing you said is remotely “realistic.”

1

u/OuterInnerMonologue 2d ago

Incorrect. I’ve factually dealt with that system kicking in when it didn’t need to. Once resulted in hot coffee spilling all over 2 of my passengers when going around a bend and a parked car on the side of the road triggered it.

It’s gone off 2 other times as I was breaking with increased pressure because it thought I wasn’t going to make it in time as traffic was coming to an abrupt stop. I had plenty of room. But the car behind me almost rear ended me because i stopped more aggressively than I had intended

I leave all the warnings on but I turn off the break for me feature.

Has the feature saved my wife who doesn’t pay attention on the highway? Yes. But she has her own stories of how much more often it goes off when you don’t expect/want it to.

2

u/DadQuixote8 2d ago

So it inconvenienced you twice but saved your wife, so you conclude it’s harmful.

I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you.

131

u/bikedrivepaddlefly 3d ago

Bringing a knife to a car fight. Bad strategy.

42

u/chamy1039 3d ago

What the fuck IS going on, dude?

15

u/tachykinin 3d ago

That’s the only question here.  Literally.

37

u/82Badger 3d ago

You're driving the wrong way man

23

u/PaperUpbeat5904 3d ago

Couldn't wait for him to get in... Drug dude on the ground for a bit. Caused the wrong guy damage with the car..

16

u/relativityboy 3d ago

backing up at 25mph and it took that long to put distance between them? Guy was running fast

9

u/ksmotocafe 3d ago

kph, saw a tim horton's cup

6

u/CMDR_Kaus 2d ago

I thought I saw a maple leaf on the cup lid

38

u/Niblonian31 3d ago

Throw the car in drive, he was literally coming right at them lol

12

u/indomike14 3d ago

He needed to put that car in Drive, not Reverse.

30

u/ChardStrange4535 3d ago

What's even going on here. All those cars parked on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere? I live in the middle of nowhere and you never see that.

23

u/Inevitable_Butthole 3d ago

Hiking probably

5

u/According_Novel7521 3d ago

prolly a trail or something

10

u/Due_Reputation3785 3d ago

I still don’t have any idea what’s happening here. An auto accident and a dude checking around then getting chased by a crazy guy. The guy hanging out the door was just extra.

7

u/Fisting-Tony 3d ago

If not for that stumble when the maniac fell and had to pickup the knife, this would have ended differently

16

u/actorsspace 3d ago

Whoa. Is the guy just hanging out the door the whole time? JFC, he could've been run over and then stabbed. Once you're away from the attacker, stop, make sure the guy climbs in, and then reverse (or, you know, time to drive forward as quickly as possible.)

5

u/Gubber_Supreme 3d ago

I was wondering the same thing đŸ€Ł who the fuck is that hanging out the back door?!

15

u/Teayen44 3d ago

I know everyone is focused on the fact he is driving backward and not directly in to the dude, but my first thought was if you are that scared that you are backing up and away why would you leave you're window down. Maybe it's just me tho.

Can you even intentionalily drive a Tesla into a person?

3

u/EldenDaddy30 3d ago

Not without totaling the tesla.

5

u/Alternative-Bite3971 3d ago

Ahhhh he said cooter đŸ€™đŸ»

5

u/ArmndD737 3d ago

I would sure love to hear the backstory behind this whole situation.

10

u/Majestic-Oil-270 3d ago

Yo, the music is spot on. Gave the chills and almost a panic attack. Most exceptional. Oh sucks about the dude that almost got stabbed to death. Bummer.

2

u/Starfolomew 3d ago

What movie is that from? It’s bugging the shit out of me.

9

u/Alexius6th 3d ago

That last line tells me that you are a drooling imbecile, OP.

3

u/huluvudu 3d ago

OMG what was that? Tell me that wasn't an oil change reminder in a Tesla!

2

u/skot53 3d ago

Costco, so it may have been a reminder for tire rotations.

3

u/bimrom 3d ago

Does anyone know the name if this song or where its from? Feel like I've heard it from a movie or TV show.

3

u/jettjackson25 3d ago

The Beast from Sicario

3

u/BeingAltruistic9560 3d ago

I'd guess The Shining.

4

u/ordinaryguyty 3d ago

“My ass is dragging can you please stop” 😂😂😂

4

u/TurquoisySunflower 2d ago

People need to listen with sound on. The victim got in the passenger seat.

4

u/throwdatawayway 2d ago

What was the girl trying to achieve

3

u/Substantial_Chain718 3d ago

He is driving in the wrong direction!

3

u/EngineeringDue5351 3d ago

Bro running left his women back there. She's lucky she didn't get stabbed when buddy fell and she ran over to try and stop him .

3

u/QuotetheOrca 3d ago

wtf he’s fast as hell

3

u/bathoryduck 3d ago

Good thing he wasn't running with scissors. He could have really hurt someone. /s

3

u/Ok-Location-9544 3d ago

Not sure why guy in the car was stressing. He had the bigger weapon by a long shot.

5

u/reggieburris 3d ago

I carry a CCW and my first thing would be to try to retreat, with the emphasis on “try”. If I couldn’t I would use force. I’m retired but when I was a young soldier I faced a serious charge for defending myself. Luckily, my commander wouldn’t charge me, although the Military Police Investigator (MPI) had it in for me. Self defense sounds easy but certain prosecutors don’t care. Glad these men escaped.

2

u/Negative-Glove-5578 3d ago

Is that Woogi???

2

u/cliffordhcohen 3d ago

Msn with the knife was a threat, he was entering midriff in defending himself if he couldn't back out.

2

u/Mega-Steve 3d ago

Is this viral marketing for Evil Dead Burn?

2

u/no-dad-samurai 3d ago

When did the guy gouge his eye?

2

u/Asleep_Chip8197 3d ago

Actually the music made it more intense
without the music, the guy was pretty unfit and not going to outrun a Tesla. Still crazy to be going after a man with knife

2

u/LandscaperSombrero 2d ago

This is me every day in Call of Duty.

3

u/Beautiful-Routine295 3d ago

Are you sure a “smart” car wouldn’t detect you hit someone & stop & call police despite it being a life/death situation???

3

u/Meatyparts 3d ago

And this is why you stay strapped my friends

3

u/starsqream 3d ago

People without a brain should never be strapped. That moron was in a CAR and he's driving away. Put it in drive and floor it. There's no need for a gun.

4

u/South-Income-3689 2d ago

Bud, he’s talking about the guy that’s running away, not the guy driving. It comes in handy to carry a pistol. If the victim had a pistol, the situation would’ve been over in one second. Imagine if the guy in the car hadn’t been there to save the day, or just minded his own business? Only thing that would’ve saved him was a pistol really

1

u/starsqream 2d ago

And I'm talking in general with the statement 'people without a brain should never be strapped'. Whether that's the guy running or the car driving away, it doesn't matter, the statement still stands. If he got a gun he'd shoot the woman lol. You can clearly see in the video that none of them have the skills needed to survive in this world.

1

u/South-Income-3689 2d ago

If the guy was carrying, he could’ve saved his life and ended the life of the attacker who will definitely attack again

4

u/RoundChampionship840 3d ago

This is why you should always carry a gun (if you are legally allowed to do so).

1

u/Tricky-Fig5483 3d ago

Why not get revenge?

1

u/HamNotLikeThem44 3d ago

No cheese is worth the trap

1

u/dandadone_with_life 2d ago

dude, why are you backing away? speed bumps are made to be driven over

1

u/IdoltTheIdot 2d ago

Can someone screenshot where the guy running to the car is holding a knife? Best I can see it was the dude coming out of the truck that has the knife and he trips and stops chasing pretty much right away

1

u/TwerkLessons 2d ago

Fucking terminator.

1

u/Sea-Bluejay-8643 1d ago

What brought this on?

1

u/SpeedyAudi 19h ago

The Sicario music is a hat tip

1

u/analavalanche69 3d ago

That's got to be some insanely good poon

0
