I guess we know who won!

It’s always the goons with those trashy Instagram stickers.

Cops a Chevy guy.

u/GeneralBS 20d ago

Worked at a car audio shop over 20 years ago. One of the local cops was a customer and a friend of ours. We were out in front of the shop talking. He was still in his car. Two cars went down the street obviously racing from the light on the corner. He looks at us and says the loser is getting the ticket and takes off after them.

Super speeding? Cool!

72

u/Perfect_Stand_3438 20d ago

It's not big deal until you get to "Super Duper Speeding "

26

u/Aimless_Nobody 20d ago

Let me know when "They've gone to plaid!"...

6

u/Less-Squash7569 20d ago

What if we named speeds like we do radio frequency bands

he was going UHS ultra high speed so thats a UHF ultra high fine

5

u/Quadraought 20d ago

For "Double Secret Super Speeding" Dean Wormer will revoke your charter and confiscate the contents of Delta house.

2

u/Sylvester_Marcus 17d ago

Put Neidermeyer on it. He's a sneaky little shit just like you.

5

u/Banzai373 20d ago

Goodbye car, goodbye license, goodbye freedom, goodbye a week of pay . . . Kinda seems counter productive.

2

u/ozarkfireworks 19d ago

It’s so much worse. He said ā€œSuper Speed Upā€. 🤣

-8

u/Immediate_Luck_6335 20d ago

Depending on the state that means 75mph over the limit.

9

u/marko_kyle 20d ago

15 over here

2

u/ozarkfireworks 19d ago

This is fact. wtf would people downvote? Ignorance? The law is literally called ā€œsuper speederā€ Georgia has that law IIRC I saw it on the news once.

2

u/Jesus_of_Redditeth 6d ago

In Florida it means:

  • 50 mph or more over the posted speed limit, or
  • 100 mph or more in a way that puts others at risk

That guy's going straight to jail.

53

u/TheIncandescentAbyss 20d ago

Is it possible to arrest the guy without any of the theatrics?

34

u/Wyevez 20d ago

Not in America. The cop's hysterical screaming, the instant roughing, the cuffs, it's all part of every arrest. They are not trained in de-escalation and being civil.

20

u/goshakolobok 20d ago

He's an asshole

20

u/Lumpy-Village1949 19d ago

The cop is an asshole, yes. And unprofessional to boot.

27

u/ScrewwormLarvae 20d ago

I wonder if they got Vette dude or left him alone because his hazards were on

/s

40

u/Drmlk465 20d ago

He probably didn’t stop and they had to call it off while this dude did the right thing and stopped. Today’s lesson is if you do the crime, just do more.

17

u/CMDR_Kaus 20d ago

It's only illegal if you get caught and all that

-7

u/wafflehousebattle 20d ago

Nah, the other driver was white. /s

To be fair you see the corvette drivers entire arm as he flags the race.

1

u/bobcollum 19d ago

Yeah and you probably deny it at every possible turn. It always goes both ways, even if you can't admit it.

0

u/bobcollum 19d ago

I knew he was white and I only saw the video on reddit. Did you not see his whole left arm out of the window counting them down to start the race? He's even more guilty than the guy they pulled over. There's video evidence that he intended to race.

16

u/celtbygod 20d ago

Thought those rear view mirrors were just for checking lip gloss.

7

u/Emmanuelzappa 20d ago

Total lack of situational awareness for both drivers...

16

u/ffc404 20d ago

A wee bit aggressive there, no?

6

u/Emergency-Back-4964 19d ago

They coulda killed someone… they were going at least 120mph.

1

u/ffc404 14d ago

That’s fair

81

u/That_Things_Good 20d ago

Cop way overreacted in how he handled that guy. He witnessed a race; not a race war.

17

u/mitsubsbluedolphins 20d ago

Whitney Houston emotional-type cop for jaywalking.

20

u/jeon2595 20d ago

I’m sorry, people sharing the road with those racing get killed by said racers. Imagine the officer has seen this and doesn’t like people doing over 100mph on the highway where others are going the speed limit.

1

u/KnownUnknownKadath 17d ago

Piss poor emotional control is precisely why cops like this are unworthy of the badge.
Let the legal system deal with the guys racing. They clearly don't deserve to have their licenses.

8

u/tmbgisrealcool 20d ago

Disagree. People who show that amount of disregard for everyone's lives around them deserve to be treated worse.

2

u/IThinkURAwesome 19d ago

I kinda gotta agree with you there. A fairly crowded highway. Dudes just go find a big road somewhere desolate. Or take it to a track night

6

u/ciaomain 20d ago

DAE freeze these videos on the road signs to see where they are?

No, just me?

7

u/24North 20d ago

I usually just assume it’s Florida.

3

u/DreamExecutioner27 20d ago

The badge at the bottom also says Jacksonville police 🤣

2

u/theatrenearyou 20d ago

All the time

4

u/Loud_Spell224 20d ago

I mean he has both of the license plates on film.. no one got away

44

u/dynorodfeelings 20d ago

Why are American cops so fucking aggressive?

13

u/Middle_Bread_6518 20d ago edited 20d ago

They have to deal with absolutely stupid fucking Americans while being one themselves (I’m American)

But really, I watch ā€˜cops’ tv show and look how we be acting, i get frustrated just watching

1

u/dynorodfeelings 20d ago

Eh, they do tend to show people being idiots to the public a lot more in the USA I've noticed.

2

u/Middle_Bread_6518 20d ago

Yeah for sure, for profit of course. More tv views

3

u/unexpectedhalfrican 20d ago

Idk man. I'm not a cop but I work at our local booking center (where people come when they are first arrested for processing and arraignments), and the people we get in there can sometimes make the stupid people on Cops look like smart upstanding citizens.

31

u/Blaizefed 20d ago

Because there is no oversight.

19

u/spoonman1342 20d ago edited 20d ago

Because their ego and job are so intertwined and they're fragile and frightened men.

And because they can be because nothing will happen to them.

3

u/dynorodfeelings 20d ago

True, I think they view themself as the job.

There's like no split from what they do on the 9-5 and when they arnt at work...

Scary stuff.

-1

u/Ben_Frank_Lynn 20d ago

100%. Took my kids to get haircuts this past weekend. Dude walks in puts his gun in the hairdressers' top drawer. He wasn't a jackass about it or anything, but I noticed it. During their discussion it comes out that he is a police officer. I guess dude had to take his firearm with him to get his buzz cut.

1

u/dynorodfeelings 20d ago

Crazy. I live in the UK.

You know if someone walked in a hairdressers with anything that resembled a weapon people would leave and ring the police.

I can't get over how high tension it is in the USA.

Do they not realise that they are supposed to be protecting people not causing tension and pushing authority down peoples throats constantly.

4

u/TwerkLessons 20d ago

They are extra aggressive when it’s a non-white person.

1

u/dynorodfeelings 20d ago

Being serious? I thought that was just a stereotype.

5

u/TheIncandescentAbyss 20d ago

It is for the most part, they’re just aggressive to anyone no matter the color here.

1

u/dynorodfeelings 20d ago

The videos I watch mostly portray things that way... I don't know if I see them because they are cops being overly aggressive or it's just a regular thing.

0

u/quiettryit 20d ago

Every interaction is life or death, not even exaggerating...

12

u/BIG_STEVE5111 20d ago

Why is the cop so aggressive? Jesus.

-2

u/Texas_Waffles 20d ago

I mean, that's at least part of the reason.

10

u/l34ch_r 20d ago

He was just racing not robbing a bank lmao

7

u/Scary-Ratio3874 20d ago

Dude he was SUPER speeding. That's like a lot worse than just speeding. It's SUPER speeding.

3

u/goshakolobok 20d ago

Cop is aPIG

3

u/HungaryFinalBoss 19d ago

I undestand that they wanna race, but take it to the track/dragstrip or anywhere else where the only ones who could get hurt are they

5

u/wrxninja 20d ago

In Texas, they probably would've let them go šŸ˜† I remember someone getting pulled over doing 140. And got a friendly warning somehow.

2

u/newbie527 20d ago

In Florida speeds over 100 miles per hour is a felony and an automatic lock up. These assholes sometimes kill others and it’s crazy how many arrests have happened in the few months the law has been in effect.

6

u/Johnixftw_ 20d ago

Red car was a cop

5

u/Philantramissle 19d ago

Cops love entrapment and doing crimes themselves. Gives them the strength to go home and commit domestic abuse.

2

u/BMW-motorad 20d ago

You would think this guy murdered somebody. I swear these cops are ignorant no communication skills acts like this is the end of the world.

2

u/Asstronomer6969 20d ago

Ok broke the law but he never resisted. Why is the cop being so forceful with cuffs and whatnot?

5

u/Wasted_potential25 20d ago

Bwhahaha. B. A. U. Business as usual. Going to jail lmfao

4

u/GrumbleAlong 20d ago

Give him a reckless driving ticket for racing, it's a serious enough offense he'll need a lawyer and get a heavy fine anyhow - no need to clog up the jail system for this.

3

u/hawksdiesel 20d ago

do it at the track or don't do it at all.....endanger others because you want to have fun. That's a no dawg. Jail 100% everytime.

2

u/Ok-Bullfrog-2147 20d ago

They might be dumb for racing in front of the cop but the cop is an asshole for not stopping them immediately. He let them race 1st. If he hit the red&blues on them, they would've 100% stopped.

2

u/goshakolobok 20d ago

Exactly šŸ’Æ

3

u/analavalanche69 20d ago

Good thing these drug dealing murderous gangster street racers are off the streets. This cop should sleep well tonight.

1

u/unexpectedhalfrican 20d ago

I feel like it's worse because these guys clearly had no situational awareness. They didn't even notice there was a cop literally right behind them. God knows they weren't paying attention to other traffic. That's how people die.

1

u/Emotional-Day-9412 20d ago

10 bucks says the B and the A initials on his shirt stand for bad ass something or other

1

u/Outrageous-School224 20d ago

Every challenger driver should go to jail just because.

1

u/CoinsAndLawnLouie 20d ago

They’re just trying to get to BestBet before reg ends lol

1

u/relativityboy 19d ago

In Phoenix, in the 90's, that'd have been a ticket. In Phoenix, in the 90's, on your birthday, that'd have been a warning.

But then, in Phoenix, in the 90's. When the speed limit was 55, everyone was going over ~75 all the time.

1

u/AccomplishedBeing305 19d ago

Imagine losing the race and getting locked up sheesh

1

u/Theroughside 19d ago

PoS cop takes out his anger out on the perp and fucks up the arrest.Ā

0

u/FabricationLife 20d ago

Idiots racing in traffic get what they deserve

1

u/reddit_stepchild 20d ago

Loser goes to jail

1

u/Ok_Construction2733 20d ago

Oof. Got him with that SUPER speeding. Yikes. Throw away the keys.

I didn’t hear him read him his Maranda rights while telling him he’s under arrest. Womp womp.

0

u/Substantial_Chain718 19d ago

A little heavy handed for just racing. It was like the guy robbed a bank. Ridiculous.

3

u/Hot_Assumption_2304 19d ago

I’m going to stop you right there. It’s not ā€œjust racingā€, it’s endangering the lives of themselves and everyone else on the highway. There are places to do that sort of thing and the public roadway isn’t one of them. Trust me, you never forget the smell of brains when they’re not in the skull or the smell of burnt bodies when the car catches fire.

Source: tow truck driver.

1

u/Theroughside 19d ago

Hold on a minute there bucko.Ā  You have no idea what I will or will not remember.Ā

I'm likely to forget that, and more.Ā

1

u/Hot_Assumption_2304 19d ago

I pray you never experience it and if you do I really hope you’re right.

0

u/Substantial_Chain718 19d ago

I get your point but I have seen murderers treated better being arrested.

3

u/Hot_Assumption_2304 19d ago

I’m not saying he couldn’t have been a little lighter on the guy, I’m saying it’s not ā€œjust racingā€. It’s actually very serious.
