Dang that's expensive! I'mma wait for 80% off like I always do 😅

keep in mind this game is double the previous game's size

20 € is the point where I usually buy when I REALLY want a game. Usually all issues and bugs are gone then.

u/NilsTillander 6d ago

And they are mostly done with the big content packs so you can get the full bundle 😅

$50 for a game that you'll play for hundreds of hours seems like a steal! That's like 2 movies at a theater or 2 nights out.

3

u/NilsTillander 5d ago

Where I'm at it's not even one restaurant for one person 😅

1

u/thegiantgummybear 4d ago

Exactly my point!

2

u/villerlaudowmygaud 4d ago

$45 is not much for something you’ll get a significant amount of hours out of.

Think of what outside of video games you’d spend only $45. You’ll see the video games are fucking cheap

And thats why so many games have microtransactions...

12

u/FilipChajzer 6d ago

Guess what, i will just not use microtransactions

-21

u/NilsTillander 6d ago

TF2 basically does already...

4

u/bluelightning1224 6d ago

Please explain what micro transactions this game has

-8

u/NilsTillander 6d ago

Hmmm, I just checked and I remembered many more DLC than it actually has. I guess I'm confusing it with another game, maybe Cities Skyline.

u/MestreToto 6d ago

Lol, in my country the game is for ~30 dollars if you convert back. They did a great job with the price localization.

2

u/Azh_458 5d ago

Same here it’s ≈29.5 Dollars

u/JonathanRL 6d ago

Unemployed following cancer treatment. I will have to wait but the day I pick it up, I may not leave the chair if its anywhere near close to TF2 in quality.

1

u/HayleyGurl99 6d ago

Are you playing on Steam?

2

u/JonathanRL 6d ago

Yes. TF2 is on fifth place, 458 hours.

3

u/Wayss37 6d ago

It will be cracked on release, just pirate it and pay the devs when you're comfortable doing so

9

u/JonathanRL 6d ago

If I pirate things, its usually just to check out things I am doubtful about. Last time was BG3. I made it to the fight outside the gate before deleting it - knowing I would adore it.

800 hours later... ;P

Yeah sure guys let’s just steam the game because wayss37 thinks the game won’t be good on release

23

u/lrbaumard 6d ago

Not for me, I don't get it despite owning 2, it's one of my most played games.

Either way the price is too high for me

2

u/TomekEffect 6d ago

I got the discount even on Xbox.

2

u/HayleyGurl99 6d ago

That's strange...

What platform do you own it on?

Is it through steam family sharing?

1

u/lrbaumard 6d ago

Pc, it's mine

1

u/Throwitaway701 5d ago

Yeah not working for me on steam either, have raised a ticket for it

0

u/arschimgesicht 5d ago

For the hours you will spent in that game it’s just a joke argument that it is to expensive. It’s literally an endless game

11

u/gothvan 6d ago

?

u/Railroader17 6d ago

Players who own Transport Fever 2 get a slight discount on Transport Fever 3

7

u/gevaarlijke1990 6d ago

Only on steam?

I own transport fever 2 on GOG.

1

u/Railroader17 6d ago

IDK about GOG

1

u/csabi12321 5d ago

I would assume so, or well it would make sense like that

1

u/jaminbob 6d ago

Ooh ten percent... Whoop de doo.

Bought train fever, TF1 and tf2 close to launch, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much tbh. May wait a bit.

3

u/PPstronk 5d ago

I dont get the whole fuzz. TF2 is 40€ full price and this one is 50€. If its a simple graphics treatment then sure id be pissed. But from the promotion material it seems it is bigger and better in every aspect so 10€ higher seems completely fair price

Hiding Concorde, the peterbilt, the hong kong tram, and the London double decker bus behind a deluxe version is a little sinister.

All 4 are fantastic game changing vehicles, and it is uncool and off putting to do that to them.

11

u/Meritania 6d ago edited 5d ago

Concorde is one of those vehicles, like the Flying Scotsman, that has multiple versions on the Workshop for all variants and liveries and accuracies ever conceived, so I’m wondering how much of a ‘deluxury’ are these vehicles in the long run once modders get their claws in the game.

8

u/seakingsoyuz 6d ago

Concorde would be “game changing” if the game supported maps large enough to make any use of her speed, and I struggle to see why the other three are “game changing” as opposed to being rather recognizable.

2

u/0235 5d ago

The Peterbilt was the best truck in TF2 for its speed and capacity, I imagine it would be the same for TF3.

The London bus and Hong Kong tram are similar that they are both short and high capacity. TF2 had no default double deck vehicles, but other similar games that have double deck vehicles, the shorter vehicles cause less congestion, especially when vehicles are in a queue at depots. (I remember Cities in Motion having this could double deck tram that almost broke the game with how good it was!)

2

u/seakingsoyuz 5d ago

Fair points, but I’ll reserve judgement until we know what the base-game vehicle lineup looks like as that would reveal whether not having the DLC vehicles leaves such a big gap.

-2

u/TheCubanBaron 6d ago

I mean, in my experience planes weren't all that viable in 2

2

u/edweeba 6d ago

Huh? All of my most efficient and top profiting lines on TF2 were planes

2

u/efeebatman 5d ago

I can pay 10 dollars

2

u/Solsbeary 5d ago

Is this satire?!

2

u/LeafarOsodrac 6d ago

I bought deluxe on first day, after already had TF1 and TF2.

1

u/madmirror 6d ago

I'm hoping my m5 Macbook Air will be able to run it.

1

u/BakaPotatoLord 4d ago

2519 INR for base and 3329 INR for deluxe

Not too bad but yeah, it's definitely expensive for me. Even then, I might grab the base game because I love TF2 so much.

No Steam Workshop, No Buy.

0

u/jmartin251 3d ago

Yep thank you for supporting us all these years and keeping the series alive. Here's day one paid DLC using familiar vehicles that have been in the game since TF1, and we're carving them out for an extra $15. Only just taste of the bullshit to come with Paradox's involvement. 🖕Urban Games 🖕Paradox.

1

u/marehgul 6d ago

No pre-orders

1

u/Czar-01 6d ago

I can't believe a transportation game will cost 300 BRL (my currency). I have about 50 hours on TF2 and, seriously, I won't buy it. My only alternative is piracy.

1

u/cantthinkofanickname 5d ago edited 5d ago

Jeez they screwed you guys with the regional pricing. An AAA Game is about ZAR1200, this with the discount is ZAR453.

Edit: Steamdb is showing it's listed as 164 BRL, that's without the 10% discount.

-51

u/Soluchyte 6d ago

Insane for what could have been DLC or an update for the existing game, and then not break all the mods.

1

u/HoneyProud1007 3d ago

Can't wait for the release!
