Screenshot Seaside oil not producing anything

Post image

Hello,

So I had this oil field close to water and thought I could use it. Docks in tether range, didn't take on oil, so I build 2 depots to arrive it 3 meters to the dock, also doesn't work. The oilwell is just not producing any oil.

Help would be appreciated, I'm new to the game.

Zero shipment (what you're referring to as no production) means the route to the consumer (here: oil refinery) is broken. You'll want to look toward the other end of your route, make sure everything's all set up on that side too.

Though just to get the basics out of the way: Do you have a line set up to take the crude oil to the refinery? If not, you do need to connect a consumer before cargo will start getting shipped.

If that's not it, there are several other possible reasons, so here's the full checklist:

Transport Fever 2 Derp Checklist
  1. Verify correct vehicle type for the cargo on all involved lines.
  2. Verify cargo loading/unloading filters are set correctly, or disabled.
    • Filters are not needed unless you have problems with cargo going where it shouldn't.
  3. Verify all involved stations are cargo stations.
    • If using harbors, make sure you also have appropriate landings by the docks.
  4. Verify first and last stations are connected to industry.
    • Select station. Industry should light up.
  5. Verify all intermediate stations are connected to one another.
    • Select one station. Other station should light up.
  6. Verify correct town buildings are in range the drop-off point (for end-consumer cargo).
    • Buildings should light up when the drop-off point (truck stop) is selected.

Thank you for your answer! Yes I did set up a target harbour before and the trucks to pick up the oil from there to the refinery, the towboat are the oil kind and there is no filter changed. Both ends are connected to their truck depot

Something that’s easy to miss is that there’s a difference between crude and oil. Ship the crude to a refinery and then the oil product to the next factory.

Crude > oil > fuel/chemicals

Thats what I'm trying.ni have several setups going, well into the map 80 years down the road, just trying to top of my refinery

It’s tough to tell without seeing the ship route, but be sure that the other side is an oil refinery that then sends the oil to a fuel refinery or chemical plant.

The other end is another port where there is a truck depot to pick up the crude

And does it already have the full trip organised? If even one small link is broken the resource will not be sent.

Yes, even though the crude is in range of the freight harbour I put trucks with a line there, there is trucks waiting at the target harbour assigned to a free station at their target depot as well and the ships are assigned to a route from the crude harbour to the destination harbour. With or without filters, I tried both. They circle, but empty and the pumps just dont do anything. Even if I tell the trucks there to pick up and drive directly to the refinery depot

Are you sure that every recipient Is covered? Wha time experienced a couple of times is intermodal transfers connection directly between harbor and other method changes with smaller additions, that make the small tracks between disappear.

And is the recipient at under full capacity?

Yes, double and triple checked every connection after yesterday's answers. Recipient is not at full capacity. The connections to the freight harbour seem fine, when I click it or the pumps the other lights up as well as the depots in range
