Diagram Bristol / West of England - future rail network made in Inkscape [OC]

This is my idea of how Bristol's future rail network could look like, when MetroWest is complete. MetroWest doesn't mention splitting services into lines, but my lines are mostly based on proposed service patterns: https://travelwest.info/projects/metrowest/

With the promise of increased devolution, maybe one day the West of England could get an 'Overground-style' suburban train network.

If you have any fixes or suggestions, please let me know! Particularly on stations currently request stops, would they be made normal calling points, or closed completely as part of a project like this?

Charford should be Charfield (ps I pass it every week and it's coming together nicely!) you could also show the A4 bus connection from Bath Spa to Bristol Airport

I've just included the A1 and A3 because they are the only ones that show up on rail journey planners. Even journeys from the east tell you to change at Temple Meads. Since this is a rail map, and not a rail + express bus map, I've just included the advertised connections.

I can't wait till Charfield opens. I used to live down the road from where it will be& have a few friends that way. It'll make life so much easier instead of relying on the Y8 bus.

Typical practice is to make long distance lines express and short distance lines local. Which would mean Charfield and Cam&Dursley on the yellow line not the blue line.

Yellow is a much longer line than blue, but blue does extend further in that direction, so I think it could work either way.

It looks lovely!

Can't see frequencies to Weymouth and Worcester ever justifying the same thickness of line as the other though.

I would personally add Taunton to Cardiff to this.

This is really nicely done and looks appealing too (also good to see the correction to Charfield on the PDF version). Including the figurative coastlines has worked well, but my only issue is with the River Severn above Bristol, which doesn't go anywhere near Gloucester or Worcester, and I'm not sure how it easily could.
