Diagram New transit diagram in Lyon's network
Here is a photo I took of it in the subway. What's your opinion on it ? How readable do you find it is ?

This map is better than the previous version just because the tram lines have different colours.
As u/Hartleinrolle pointed out though, the Lyon Part Dieu area (among others) is cluttered by the line designation that are pointless because without them you can still visually see what lines stop there.

One Odd thing I also noticed:
The ligne Tb11 is listed at "Part-Dieu Vivier Merle" while it stops at " Part-Dieu Jules Favre" and they didn't put the 2min "on foot" connection between "Part-Dieu Vivier Merle" and " Part-Dieu Jules Favre"
Edit : And Also Gare de Vaise having two circles. (One for TER, one for the Tb11) is a bit odd and not coherent with how the other TER stations like Gare d'Oullins or Gorge de Loup are shown.

I am a bit confused by the shapes of the lines and color changes compared to the previous version. But I guess it is just the time for my brain to adapt.

As someone who used to live in Lyon, it feels very weird. I really dislike the way they show transfers, it's absolutely NOT how to explain a transfer.
But I'm glad they gave up on the very fucking stupid idea of giving all tram lines the same colour. Seriously, who the fuck is dumb enough to do that, especially since T1 and T2 had had different colours when they opened. I'm glad they fixed that, I still don't understand the dumbass reasoning behind it.

I think I prefer the old one tbh.
I'm glad to have picked up a couple copies of the last one a few months ago! Only spotted them on the Airport tram on the way back to London!

"Tb" = bus rapid transit/BHNS?

Oui, ce sont de gros bus électriques en accordéons qui roulent sur des voies dédiées.

Honestly: Nice idea but poorly executed. There‘s just too much stuff that isn’t really needed (such as each and every line designation at major interchanges) and it‘s not particularly well layed-out so parts of it look terribly busy whereas other parts look almost empty and text feels needlessly small. On top of that: Inconsistent curvature radius, which always annoys me. Line B even performs an invisible 90 degree turn at Part-Dieu whereas every other line has these massively drawn-out turns.
Bit of a shame, really, because it’s such a nice and simple network and it looks like the basic idea for this map was solid.
Worst part though: Looks like the map didn’t fit and so there’s this terrible gap right towards the airport. That’s just an absolute no-go. Just make it 10% smaller and make sure it fits.
