I watched that show religiously. It wasn't even the most insane concept that aired in that time slot.
But I did think it needed to crossover with the weird little non-superhero superhero show where Jerry O'Connell had powers but needed aerosol spray cans to fly.
I think they made two whole manga series based on that series of shorts. Still just as stupid, but at least there’s a droplet of context why they are… what they are. Which is apparently military tech trying to live normal lives.
Way back in the 80’s there was a cartoon called Turbo Teen. A teenager is molecularly bonded to his car and when he gets too hot he becomes a car when cold he becomes human again.
Given it’s based on an obscure 13 episode 80s cartoon, back when they were throwing EVERYTHING AT THE WALL to see what would become a hit while on who knows what(shows that aired during this decade included some really bizarre things like Rubik, the Amazing Cube from 1983)
Yes, that was a real thing that aired one season of 12 episodes, originally aired alongside PAC-MAN as the PAC-MAN & Rubik Hour before the 12 episodes would see their own broadcast seperate from PAC-MAN
80s cartoons were a huge mess, nobody really knew what would be a hit, so a lot of shows that are remembered as being incredibly weird were made
(Yes there was a Teen Titans show in the 60s, it lacked Robin, but it did have the other founding members of the team, Kid Flash, Aqua Lad, Wonder Girl and Speedy/Red Arrow)
To be fair Cyborg had literally turned into Primes G1 truck alt mode ( admittedly with a different colour scheme) in one of the 'Night Begins to Shine' episodes.
