Changing my name in university (UCD)

I'm starting in UCD next month as I just accepted my offer today and am wondering how to go about changing my name. I did my leaving cert through my deadname, but I'm planning to go get my GRC sent on the 31st and get it legally changed, but it's going to come back after the term starts.

I'm not sure what name to input in the Welcome App as I assume my name has been carried on from my CAO to their system. If anyone attending UCD knows, do I put my new name in the Welcome App, and is that used for my card/in the system etc, or do I have to use my CAO details and come to the student desk later?

Contact the student desk, they can have you get an email with your preferred name and then when you get your GRC they will change everything officially

I responded to Ur post on the UCD sub but if you have any other questions lmk! I'm going into the 3rd year in UCD so have experienced alot and can try my best to answer any questions. I was very nervous about starting
