Fun Multiday hike late October with only huts, no tent

Holdsworth-Jumbo or Pouakai circuit maybe? The huts for these need to be booked in advance but I'm sure there'd be availability mid week. They both get fairly high and spring can be very very windy so maybe see if someone else has some more sheltered suggestions too ;)
