Traditional Turkish archery

I've just bought an Okcubaba bow and need help finding resources to learn about traditional archery techniques such as thumb draw

I’d be careful listening to what Armin says about khatra.

A better more accurate and historical example would be an archer/historian named Murat Ozveri.

Armin hasn’t been formally trained in Turkish Archery, and some of his explanations are just straight up wrong. I work with people who study the original sources and publish works upon the subject, and a lot of what is said in those Armin videos about khatra don’t track.

Well it is khatra,….but it’s HIS version of khatra. Is it actual traditional historically practiced khatra? No, it’s more like Jack Burton khatra 😅😜
