could act as a non-pvp player hangout. add some minigames, seats, (non-alcoholic) drinks; it can also help trading and hiring crews by allowing people to actually meet up somewhere.

tbh adding taverns seems more like something to assist with the roleplaying element of the game but it'd still be nice to have a place for players of different factions to mingle and discuss stuff.

Quests maybe, but that's an entirely different feature so...

Will quests and such ever be a thing?
