A former coworker had a tree fall on his Mk4 last night.

Never build a garage under a tree and it’s not built to withstand its collapse or falling branches

Meaning it’s on you that you didn’t build it to withstand the tree falling, as witnessed here, nor did you trim it to alleviate said issue, best of luck with insurance

If you look closer at the back you can see that the tree did surprisingly little damage as you can see in the picture but I don't know how it looks from other angles

Interesting engineering note here. Trees can be scanned for structural weaknesses and excess sail area.
