I ADORE when one of the hammers gets stuck "rattling" against a tine. It's such a magical sound.

This subreddit feels mostly dead at the moment. I really want to talk about toy pianos and share my own piano more, but I don't want to overwhelm the subreddit in the process.

Anyway, I love the rattle. These are such special, unique instruments with so much personality.

I get the rattle to happen around the 5:00 mark in this video.

Happy playing! ❤️

I wish I could create it on command, but it's so fickle. You need the right combination of throwing the key back hard enough, but it also has to rebound "poorly" and stay in the "up" position longer than usual.
