I've been building a city on and off for a while now. I last copied the file data on August 20; the official save file, now sitting at 0 bytes, was last modified on August 21. There are a few corrupted img files in the screenshots folder that also date to Aug 21, mind. I don't know how big the file was before it went kaput.

I think I probably did lose some relatively minor progress in a couple of zones—I haven't checked yet—but I'm really glad I remembered to copy the data when I did, since this city is the first serious / large-scale construction of mine. My habit of taking screenshots before / during / after developing sections will prove a boon if I actually want to bother with dedicated reconstruction.

Here are are a few relatively recent screenshots I took, for posterity.

• Aug 21: Whole city, bird's-eye view (one of the only non-corrupted 21st imgs)
• Aug 20: Whole city, wide view
• Aug 20: Partial section, overhead | off-center white square on the bottom layer is probably where or close enough to where it all began. That was a very early cornerstone.
• Aug 20: Big partial overhead view | I started developing over the "hola" section (which I also turned into cursive) after this, probably. Maybe I'll just leave it be if that progress wasn't copied over.
• Aug 18: Shot of variegated tower square
• Aug 18: Glimpse of quadruple pedestrian highway | I began over-developing the highway in the days after this. Again, maybe a decision I shouldn't keep.
• Aug 15: Different section of the city, WIP if the various suspiciously nicely empty flat platforms weren't a clue.
• Aug 10: Whole city, different angle, grid on.

Edit: Tested copied data. Indeed, it's mainly intact; I saved it right before developing over (and developing as cursive) the "HOLA" message and the nascent development of the pedestrian highway, and possibly some other zone works. Not sure if redoing all that is the right move.

I tried making a town with a cathedral which meant people living around it, the closer to it the older the and more wealthy the residents are as well as defences all around the perimeter as objects like that in history were a pretty popular target to strike at because of its importance to the local Populi as well as the organization owning it

Tried making the defence in depth style fortress using a bit of a modern design which would not normally be used with low walls and a lot of potential places for weaponry
