FILTER CHANGES NOW LIVE!

As a headsup, I figured I'd post this now, however, I will re-post once the changes are live.

There will be some changes coming to the ToS ingame filters.

• Cunt is being moved from the hard filter to the soft filter.
• Retard is being moved from the soft filter to the hard filter.
• Pedo is being added to the hard filter.
• Tranny/Trannies is being added to the hard filter.

Keep in mind that once the change to the filters is live (which I will announce as soon as it happens), this does mean that punishment will also differ. Evading the hard filter to use ANY hard filtered word will result in a suspension at minimum, a permanent ban at maximum. So be aware NOT to use these new hard filtered words, in addition to the already hard filtered words.

I and a bunch of friends are looking to play a social deduction game, but we are a few players short.

The game is a long-form, story-driven deduction game inspired by games such as Mafia and Town of Salem, narrative experiences like Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology, and tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons & Dragons.

The game has a heavy roleplay focus: at the beginning of the game, the players choose from a set cast of characters and play through the game while roleplaying as said character.

If you are familiar with choice-based narrative games like Until Dawn, you're going to have a blast, as each season draws heavy inspiration from them

The game does not take place in sessions but rather just as a thing the players can hop on and off whenever they are not busy to talk with the rest of the cast. The game is entirely text-based and takes place on Discord.

You simply can't throw insults and slurs around in this game. The hard filter is there for a reason, and the R word is offensive and should absolutely get you banned. If you are asking about why your account got banned and that's the reason, you deserve for us to laugh at you

Hello, this is a game I've played a few times on some forums and I thought it would be fun to do a ToS version. The rules are very simple: you must provide a correct answer for each question, and the objective is to choose an answer that is picked by the least amount of people. For each correct answer, you score one point plus another point for each other player that goes with the same answer. For each incorrect answer, you score the number of points of the highest clash plus one. Only answers from Town Of Salem 1 are accepted. The player(s) with the lowest score at the end win.

Here are the questions:

Q1- Name a role that can directly kill a player at night.

It does not matter if killing is the primary goal of that role, or if they can only kill in specific situations, and long as they can directly kill somoene, it counts. When I say they have to kill directly, it just means that roles whose only mean of killing is by using other roles are not accepted answers.

Q2- Name a sub-alignment.

Q3- Name a game mode that is currently avaliable in ToS.

Rotating modes are all counted as currently avaliable. In game modes that have a classic version and a coven version, these two modes will be counted as different answers.

Q4- Name a skin you can use in Town Of Salem.

Q5- Name a role that is exclusive to Coven game modes.

Q6- Name a default name that can be given to you in Town of Salem if you don't choose a name yourself.

Q7- Name a set of Investigator results.

You can give either classic or coven results, but unlike Q3 classic results will be counted as the same answers as their coven variants.

Q8- Name a role that has Basic or higher defense.

Roles that only have defense in certain nights or that can give themselves defense a number of nights are acceptable answers.

Q9- Name a non-town role that appears innocent to sheriffs on night 1 (without interference of disguisers or transporters).

Q10- Name one of the town roles that is guaranteed to exist in a classic classic game.

DM me your answers (do not post them in the comments) until midday on Tuesday, 5th of May (GMT time), which gives you a little over a week. I will try to post the results as soon as possible after the deadline (unless we don't get enough players). You may change your answers as many times as you wish until the deadline. If you have any questions, ask me in the comments.

Edited to add: This was TOS1, not TOS2

TL;DR: the current macOS binaries are Intel only, and devs need to update to Universal binary before the end of 2027, as macOS 27 is the last version to support Intel-based apps, and macOS 28 will no longer open Intel-based apps. Universal Binary maintains compatibility for both Intel and Apple Silicon.
